The Position
Main Tasks & Responsibilities :
- Contribute to business planning at the top executive level to develop a market strategy that is consistent with the organization’s overall mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
- Consolidate and develop strategic plan for Core Lab as a Business Area from various function e.g. Core Lab Reagents, CVM, SI, CHU.
- Lead Market Intelligence Team to identify market opportunities through analyzing market trends, consumer behaviors and competitor activity.
- Able to work with various local Marketing and Sales function and understand their needs and support them for their execution of China Core Lab Strategy.
- Liaise with Asia Pacific & Global functions across the organization to ensure that marketing strategy and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
- Understand and keep close collaboration with Global Function, be able to communicate and gain support or resources for China Strategy.
- Other projects or tasks assigned by line manager.
- Conduct business in full compliance including but not limited to Roche Secure, Roche Behavior in Business, Roche Competition Law Interactive Dialogues, Roche Safety, Security Health and Environmental Protection.
- Understand and fulfill the responsibility of line manager's SHE tasks and duties (as defined in SHE handbook).
Education & Qualifications:
- Preferably Ph.D., M.D. and equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Outstanding Strategic and forward thinking.
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills to effectively operate on a global basis (i.e. aptitude for working with diverse cultural groups and appreciation of business or social dictum within disparate entities).
- Additional Business qualification is highly desirable.
- Good convincing and negotiation skills with ability to clearly present and articulate a business position.
- Very good English communication skills (oral and written).
Experience:
- Above 10 years background in the IVD industry.
- Extensive experience of defining & developing Marketing Strategy in the Core Lab area, and working cross function with various global functions in MNC.
- Solid commercial acumen which can be demonstrated by previous successes in bringing the benefits of sales, marketing, or operational experience to bear to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Strong track record in prioritizing and simultaneously managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment for timely completion of projects.
