In short: BioPharma Careers doesn't require an account, doesn't ask you to submit a resume or application through this site, and doesn't sell personal data. The job listings you see are aggregated from employers' own public career pages. When you click "Apply," you're taken to the employer's own site to complete your application there, under their privacy policy, not ours.
What we collect
Browsing and searching this site does not require creating an account, and job listings never ask you to submit anything through us – applications go directly to the employer. The data we do handle falls into six categories:
- Standard server logs. Like virtually any website, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs basic technical data for every request – IP address, browser/device type, page requested, and timestamp. This is used only for security (e.g. spotting abusive traffic) and keeping the site running, and isn't linked to any profile of you.
- Local theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so it's remembered on your next visit. This never leaves your device and contains no personal information.
- Employer contact form. Our For Employers page lets a company tell us what they're looking for (name, email, company, and your message). We use it only to follow up with you and don't share it with anyone else.
- Job alert emails. If you sign up for job alerts (new jobs in a function or role, or jobs similar to one you viewed), we store your email address and what you asked to follow, and use it only to send those alerts. Alerts by function or role start only after you click the link in a confirmation email. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we don't share your address with employers or anyone else.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage – which pages are popular, how people find us. In the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Canada it stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner; elsewhere it's on by default and you can turn it off. Session-replay tooling only runs if you accept it, wherever you are. See "Cookies" below.
- Anonymous job-engagement counts. To show employers how their listings perform, we count how many times each job is seen in a list, opened, and clicked through to apply, as daily totals per job. These counts store no IP address, cookie or identifier and can't be linked to you, so they're kept regardless of your cookie choice. Your IP address is used briefly, and not stored with the counts, to filter out automated traffic.
Where the job listings come from
Every job shown on this site is sourced from a public career page published directly by the hiring employer. We link back to the original posting, and the "Apply" button sends you to the employer's own application system. We are not the employer, we don't process job applications ourselves, and we don't receive or store anything you submit on an employer's site.
Third-party links
Clicking through to an employer's career site (or any other outbound link on this site) takes you off BioPharma Careers entirely. Once there, that site's own privacy policy and terms apply – we have no visibility into, or control over, how they handle your data.
Cookies
When you first visit, a banner asks you to choose between three categories. What happens before you choose depends on where you are:
- Necessary. Keeps the site working (e.g. admin login sessions) and remembers your cookie choice itself. Always on – there's no opt-out, since the site can't function without it.
- Analytics. Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and LogRocket, a session-replay tool. Google's tag uses Consent Mode: in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Canada it doesn't set analytics cookies or record your visit until you accept this category; everywhere else analytics is on by default, and choosing "Reject optional" turns it off. Google determines your region from your connection; we don't look up your location. LogRocket never loads unless you accept this category, wherever you are.
- Marketing. Not currently used on this site – the category exists in the banner in case that changes, but nothing is wired to it today.

Children's privacy
This site is a professional job board intended for working adults and job seekers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If how we handle data changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
