Job Description
Role Expectations
The Key Account Manager (KAM) acts as the primary strategic partner, supporting appropriate customer engagement by expanding product awareness and providing high-level technical guidance to healthcare stakeholders.
The KAM is expected to be a subject matter expert, working closely with Key Account Specialists (KAS), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Hospitals, Social Health Insurance (SOH), and insurance companies.
Additionally, the KAM is responsible for the professional growth of their team through advanced coaching and leadership.
Main Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation & Policy Alignment: Successfully implement company strategy and align business initiatives with new government policies to ensure ethical business-support management at hospitals.
Territory Action Planning: Collaborate closely with the field force team to support sustainable account development and build robust, data-driven action plans for assigned territories
Cross-Functional Synergy: Lead collaboration with Marketing, Medical, Training, and Commercial Excellence departments to define short-term and long-term account engagement objectives, while Identifying healthcare needs and appropriate stakeholder engagement opportunities consistent with approved indications and company strategy.
Organizational Insight: Develop an understanding of hospital structures, key stakeholder roles and healthcare delivery processes relevant to account engagement,
Knowledge Leadership & Networking: Maintain advanced product, environmental, and competitive knowledge. Build a foundation of clinical and hospital expertise, expanding a key stakeholder network using company-approved engagement tools.
Talent Development: Identify strengths and development areas within the team, building and executing action plans to enhance the professional skills and performance of Key Account Specialists.
Candidate Profile
Doctor or Pharmacist.
≥ 3 years of Sales Manager or ≥ 1 year of KAM experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Proven experience in hospital account management, stakeholder engagement and understanding of public procurement processes.
Strong understanding of public procurement regulations, healthcare policies and applicable pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
Ability to analyze complex market data to implement smart action plans.
Deep understanding of the hospital environment and pharmaceutical market
Coaching: Ability to develop team members’ potential.
Team Coordination and Managerial Support, including remote management capabilities
Plan, organize and execute work independently
Effective communication skills.
Well cross-function skills and teamwork
Work well under pressure.
