The position will define and implement global strategy and vision for Marketing Automation Solutions, collaborating closely with key business stakeholders (on global / regional / country level), technical delivery teams and external partners to ensure cross-functional alignment, effective change management and communication, and successful planning and execution. The role also serves as Marketing Cloud product owner and technical SME within Sandoz internal customer engagement technology landscape and plays central role in leading global deployments, harmonizing legacy applications, addressing technical debt and integrating Marketing Automation capabilities into broader Sandoz strategic programs and transformation initiatives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Define and own the global Marketing Automation product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer engagement priorities.
Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business requirements into clear user stories and development priorities.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring delivery aligns with business value, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder needs.
Lead stakeholder engagement across global markets, providing regular updates, managing risks, resolving escalations, and driving adoption.
Collaborate with Salesforce, Veeva, and other technology partners to drive innovation, platform enhancements, scalability, and global process harmonization.
Facilitate Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, business reviews, and release communications.
Serve as the System Owner for Marketing Automation platforms, ensuring governance, compliance, documentation, user access management, and operational excellence.
Monitor product performance, user adoption, and business outcomes, driving continuous improvement and promoting best practices across the organization.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of experience in digital marketing, customer engagement, commercial technology, digital transformation, or related areas.
Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud, with strong knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem.
Strong understanding of digital marketing technologies, Agile methodologies, product management, and software development lifecycles.
Experience operating in a global, matrixed environment, managing diverse stakeholders across multiple geographies and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to define product roadmaps, manage backlogs, and deliver technology solutions that create measurable business value.
Experience with system ownership, governance, compliance, and operational management within a regulated environment, ideally pharmaceutical or life sciences.
Strong communication, influencing, presentation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
Knowledge of Salesforce architecture, integrations, data models, reporting, DevOps, release management, and platform governance.
Qualifications
University degree in Business, Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud, Administrator, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or related) are highly desirable.
Experience within pharmaceutical, generics, healthcare, or life sciences industries is preferred.
Strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and related customer engagement platforms.
Experience working with Salesforce Centres of Excellence (CoE), platform engineering, architecture, and release management teams.
Strong understanding of digital marketing processes, customer engagement strategies, and commercial technology solutions.
Demonstrated leadership in Agile product management, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Fluent English required, with additional languages considered an advantage.
