The Vaccines Franchise is a key growth driver for Sanofi Canada, spanning multiple disease areas and upcoming launches.

Reporting to the Vaccines Franchise Head, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and delivering commercial strategy across the vaccine portfolio. This individual balances long-term portfolio planning with strong execution, leading cross-functional teams to drive launch excellence, lifecycle management, and business growth while contributing to improved public health outcomes in Canada.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Brand Strategy & Portfolio Planning

Develop annual and long-range brand plans based on market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.

Apply a portfolio mindset to prioritize investments and maximize franchise value.

Adapt global strategies for the Canadian market.

Lead cross-functional brand planning across Medical, Regulatory, Public Affairs, Market Access, Sales, and Communications.

Align with global and agency partners while developing Canada-specific strategies.

Build strategic scenarios, forecasts, and long-range business plans.

2. Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence

Monitor market trends, competitors, treatment dynamics, and customer behavior.

Leverage market research, field insights, advisory boards, and analytics to identify opportunities and optimize performance.

Anticipate competitive threats and develop proactive response plans.

Track KPIs and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

3. Launch Planning & Lifecycle Management

Lead launch planning for new vaccines and indications, including go-to-market strategy, disease awareness, and stakeholder engagement.

Drive lifecycle strategies across pre-launch, launch, growth, and maturity stages.

Partner with Market Access and Public Affairs to address barriers to uptake in public and private markets.

Support market-shaping initiatives and public health advocacy activities.

4. Marketing Execution & Omnichannel Strategy

Develop integrated marketing plans that optimize business performance and ROI.

Design omnichannel customer journeys across HCPs, pharmacists, public health professionals, and consumers.

Provide strategic direction for digital channels and partner with digital teams on execution.

Manage agency and vendor relationships, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

Ensure all activities comply with internal and industry standards.

5. Sales Partnership & Enablement

Build strong alignment with Sales throughout planning and execution.

Develop impactful sales tools, training materials, and resources.

Lead sales training and contribute to national and cycle meetings.

Maintain field engagement to gather insights and optimize execution.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

Build relationships with HCPs, public health officials, immunization program leaders, and other key stakeholders.

Execute stakeholder engagement plans in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Lead advisory boards to generate insights and inform strategy.

Collaborate on immunization awareness initiatives and address provincial market opportunities and challenges.

7. Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead brand teams through influence, collaboration, and clear strategic direction.

Drive alignment across Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Public Affairs, Sales, Communications, Legal, and Finance.

Foster an entrepreneurial mindset and identify opportunities for growth.

Serve as the primary Canadian contact for global franchise teams.

8. Budget & Resource Management

Deliver revenue objectives and manage annual OPEX/A&P budgets.

Optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI.

Oversee forecasting, monthly budget tracking, accruals, and financial planning.

9. Compliance

Ensure all promotional activities and materials comply with applicable regulations, corporate policies, PAAB, ASC, and IMC requirements.

Maintain current knowledge of the Canadian regulatory environment.

About You

Experience:

5+ years of pharmaceutical marketing and brand management experience; vaccine experience strongly preferred.

Vaccine launch experience preferred, particularly in influenza, COVID-19, RSV, or HMPV.

Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals or vaccines is highly valued.

Demonstrated success in lifecycle management, omnichannel marketing, and cross-functional leadership.

Experience in both public and private market environments within Canada.

Track record of managing agencies, vendors, and promotional budgets.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field.

MBA or graduate degree is an asset.

Communication

Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across diverse audiences.

Vaccines & Public Health Knowledge

Understanding of the Canadian immunization landscape, public/private market dynamics, and public health stakeholders.

Experience in flu, COVID-19, RSV, or HMPV is preferred.

Other

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Bilingual French/English is an asset.
