Job Title: Primary Care Representative
Department: Sales, Switzerland, International Operations
Location: Lausanne and Fribourg, French-speaking Switzerland. This is a field-based role, and you will need to live within the territory.
Your impact begins here
As Primary Care Representative, you will be the Novo partner for general practitioners and their teams across Lausanne and Fribourg. You will help healthcare professionals understand our treatments, raise awareness of cardiometabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity, and grow sales across your territory. Primary care is often where people living with these conditions first look for support, so the relationships you build and the conversations you lead can help more people access the right treatment.
What you’ll bring
You know how to build trusted relationships, and you turn them into results. You will also bring:
At least 2–3 years of direct sales experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical, healthcare or FMCG sectors. Strong sales experience in other customer-facing roles is also relevant.
A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets by planning your territory well and following through.
A customer-centric approach and the ability to explain treatments clearly and credibly to healthcare professionals.
Personal leadership: you focus on what matters, make things happen and adapt quickly when things change.
A team player mindset, with a good understanding of the healthcare business and the wider industry.
Fluent French, plus a basic knowledge of English and German.
Residence within the Lausanne or Fribourg territory, which is required for this role.
Useful, but not essential:
A paramedical, medical or scientific education, or a related background.
A SHQA certificate is a plus.
Existing relationships in primary care, ideally in cardiometabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.
What you’ll do
You will own your territory and its results. You will plan your priorities and decide how best to engage each healthcare professional, whether that is face to face or through remote detailing.
Build and grow professional relationships with general practitioners, gynaecologists and obstetricians (OBGYNs), and medical practice assistants and coordinators (MPAs and MPKs).
Put targeted sales strategies into practice to meet and exceed your territory sales goals, and share clear, accurate product information with healthcare professionals.
Raise awareness of cardiometabolic diseases in primary care settings.
Develop and deliver a territory business plan in line with brand strategies. Identify new or underused channels with real potential and develop them.
Use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track your interactions and analyse market trends. Share insights, competitive intelligence and results with the national team.
Work to the highest ethical standards and comply with industry regulations, legal requirements and internal guidelines in every interaction.
Who you’ll work with
You will join the Sales team in Switzerland, part of International Operations, and report to the Senior Field Sales Manager for Primary Care Representatives. Your work will focus on Lausanne and Fribourg, and your insights will contribute to results nationally.
In the field, you will work closely with Field Sales Managers, Specialist Care Representatives and Medical Science Liaisons so that healthcare professionals get the right support at the right time. Across the business, your key partners will include Marketing, C&CE, Medical, Market Access, LECQ and our E-Reps. Together, you will share what you are seeing in the field, set priorities and move quickly when an opportunity opens up.
What you can expect here
You will be trusted to run your territory with real ownership, with clear performance expectations and a team that recognises results. You will keep building your skills through ongoing training and internal meetings, and your input will help shape how the team works.
You will grow alongside experienced colleagues across sales, medical and marketing, and you will have the support you need to perform at your best.
Start now
Your impact begins today. If you are ready to help general practitioners in Lausanne and Fribourg support more people living with diabetes and obesity, apply for the Primary Care Representative role by 12th of November.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
