Your new role

As our new Patient Activation Medical Advisor, you will develop, review and execute medical strategies that strengthen patient engagement across our therapy areas. Working at the intersection of science, communication and compliance, you will ensure that every patient-facing initiative is scientifically robust, ethically sound, and genuinely useful to the people we serve.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Collaborating closely with Marketing and Customer Excellence to strategically develop and medically review patient-facing materials, ensuring scientific accuracy, compliance, and clarity

Organising and supporting impactful patient activities and educational initiatives that enhance patient knowledge, support and outcomes

Translating medical and scientific evidence into patient activation concepts, and drafting or co-creating patient materials in line with approved product information

Partnering with Compliance, Legal and internal governance functions to ensure patient communications meet regulatory and ethical standards, and are updated as evidence and requirements evolve

Aligning cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Compliance and Customer Excellence to prioritise initiatives and execute scientifically accurate, impact-driven programmes

Adapting patient engagement content and medical strategy inputs to evolving evidence, patient needs and internal learnings – maintaining scientific rigor at every step

Your skills & qualifications

An MD, PhD, DVM, DMD, PharmD or equivalent medical/scientific degree

Experience in Medical Affairs, ideally with exposure to patient activation, patient engagement or patient education initiatives

Experience supporting the review and approval of patient-facing scientific or medical content (preferred)

Strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Medical, Compliance and Customer Excellence

A proactive, well-organised mindset with strong analytical, planning and communication skills, and a clear orientation toward patient focus and effective strategy execution

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
