Marketing Manager, Desmoid Tumor

Position Summary

The Marketing Manager, Desmoid Tumor will lead market development, launch readiness, stakeholder engagement, and commercial execution for the first systemic therapy in Japan for patients with Desmoid Tumor.

The role is responsible for developing disease awareness, shaping treatment paradigms, building multidisciplinary treatment networks, partnering with patient advocacy organizations, and ensuring effective commercial execution.

This position combines Marketing, Market Development, Commercial Excellence, and Field Execution responsibilities and will play a critical role in transforming treatment practices and accelerating patient access.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Launch Excellence

Develop and execute annual brand and market development strategies.

Lead launch readiness planning and execution.

Develop promotional materials, disease awareness programs, digital assets, and omnichannel campaigns.

Translate global strategy into actionable local initiatives.

Market Development & Ecosystem Building

Assess patient journey, referral pathways, diagnosis patterns, and treatment barriers.

Develop regional market development plans tailored to local market dynamics.

Build treatment ecosystems that facilitate diagnosis, referral, and treatment access.

Identify and address barriers to treatment adoption.

Stakeholder Engagement & Consensus Building

Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, treatment centers, and academic societies.

Partner closely with patient advocacy groups and patient communities.

Facilitate alignment among physicians involved in Desmoid Tumor management.

Support multidisciplinary treatment decision-making and referral networks.

Lead initiatives that drive consensus and behavior change across healthcare stakeholders.

Commercial Excellence & Field Execution

Develop field execution strategies and regional action plans.

Partner with Sales Leadership on territory prioritization and resource deployment.

Monitor execution quality and business performance.

Conduct regular business reviews and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure rapid translation of market insights into field actions.

Performance Management & Analytics

Develop KPIs and performance measurement frameworks.

Establish dashboards and business review processes.

Track customer engagement, referral generation, treatment adoption, and business performance.

Monitor launch performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

Support forecasting and business planning activities.

Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

Proven marketing experience in Specialty Care, Oncology, Rare Disease, Immunology, or Hospital-based products.

Experience leading product launch or pre-launch activities.

Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Critical Experience

Demonstrated experience working across multiple medical specialties.

Proven ability to build alignment and consensus among healthcare professionals with different clinical perspectives.

Experience supporting multidisciplinary treatment decision-making processes.

Experience developing and executing market development initiatives.

Experience translating strategy into measurable field execution and business outcomes.

Experience developing KPIs, performance metrics, and execution tracking frameworks.

Preferred Therapeutic Area Experience

Candidates should have meaningful experience in multiple of the following specialties:

Orthopedic Surgery

Gastrointestinal Surgery

Medical Oncology

Dermatology

Rare Diseases

Sarcoma or Tumor-related Diseases

Experience working across specialty boundaries and driving collaboration among different clinical stakeholders is strongly preferred.
