Job Overview
This role is responsible for driving global market development and launch readiness strategies to support successful product commercialization. Working closely with global, regional, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will lead market-shaping initiatives, develop go-to-market plans, oversee messaging and omnichannel campaigns, and ensure organizational readiness for launch. The position requires strong collaboration across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Insights, Corporate Communications, Patient Advocacy, and external agency partners to deliver impactful customer engagement and world-class launch execution. Experience in strategic and digital marketing within a global environment is highly desirable.
Anticipated travel: up to 15% international
Principal Accountabilities
Partner closely with GCL in the development of a cohesive market shaping/ market creation strategy across all customers in coordination across all relevant functions and regions
Lead the execution of marketing development tactical plans in close coordination with cross functional and regional stakeholders, ensuring an omni channel footprint with our customers to enable launch success
Lead onboarding of and partnership with different agency partners to manage development of various tactical assets and programs
Lead the development of messaging hierarchy, creative, unbranded & branded style guidelines, etc
Support and partner closely with GCL in the development of Go-To-Market launch strategies- including Where-To-Play, How-To-Win, Positioning, messaging, lexicon and tactical plan development
Support Launch Readiness Reviews in close collaboration with commercial operations to prepare the cross-functional organization for launch
Support GCL in the formation of global SWOT analyses, identification and mitigation of potential risks associated with product launch
Lead the development and execution of a world-class launch plan that ensures organizational readiness and right-level resource allocation
Collaborate closely with the global and regional insights teams in ensuring developed messages and campaign equity resonate with our respective customer
Partner and collaborate closely with global and regional medical affairs teams in the development of Commercial HCP Leader lists and a plan for their engagement
Partner with regional teams in the development of CRM database to enable omni-channel customer engagement that would ultimately support rapid launch
Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy Groups, Corporate Comms, etc teams in the execution of marketing strategy, leveraging the Global Scientific Platform to inform message development and coordination of launch tactical plan for consistency
Minimum educational requirements
Bachelor’s degree Required; Advanced Degree Preferred (MBA)
Minimum experience requirements
12-15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with in-depth knowledge of marketing, promotions, agency management, R&D, forecasting, utilizing marketing analytics (both primary and secondary).
Experience commercializing in Lupus and DERM/ RHEUM office highly desired
Outstanding collaborator, strategic influencer and servant leader with ability to reach across the aisle in service of patients, physicians and the brand
Demonstrated ability to lean on insights, assess market opportunities and develop product strategies to align with customer needs and rapidly move to develop and execute upon tactical POA.
Strong analytical, financial acumen, strategic, and project management skills (with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously).
High proficiency in analytical (Excel), promo tools like VEEVA, Powerpoint, etc is a must; should be a fast learner of Biogen’s new platforms and technologies
Should have the ability to assess and succinctly summarize large amounts of information to articulate perspective clearly and present recommendations
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, flexibility, and the ability to engage and strategically influence stakeholders through effective interpersonal skills
Strong experience in digital marketing strategies highly desired
