Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and Deliver the Iberia Commercial Capability Strategy
Design and execute the long-term Commercial Capability Roadmap for Spain and Portugal.
Act as strategic collaborator to the Sr Director Commercial Operations and key decision makers of the affiliate, including General Manager, Business Unit Directors, Marketing and Commercial Operations leadership teams.
Translate business priorities into scalable capabilities that improve customer engagement, field effectiveness and business performance.
Lead transformation initiatives that combine people, processes, technology and data.
2. Lead Omnichannel Excellence
Define the Omnichannel vision and operating model for Iberia.
Advance customer engagement from channel-based execution toward personalized customer journeys.
Drive adoption of customer-centric engagement models powered by Veeva, dynamic content and channel orchestration capabilities, consistent with Gilead's global omnichannel framework.
Establish omnichannel governance, KPIs and performance management.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs and Digital teams to ensure integrated execution.
Continuously optimize customer experience through testing, learning and analytics.
3. Drive CRM & Advanced Analytics Transformation
Own Iberia CRM (Veeva) strategy and roadmap.
Lead CRM evolution, optimization and future platform migrations.
Build a best-in-class Customer 360 ecosystem.
Accelerate advanced analytics capabilities, predictive models and data-driven decision making.
Develop actionable insights that improve targeting, segmentation and customer engagement.
Ensure strong data governance and operational excellence.
Liaise with Gilead Regional and Global teams to optimize Global solutions to Iberia Market environnment and competitive requirements.
4. Lead Iberia AI Commercial Strategy
Define the AI vision for commercial and capability-building organizations.
Identify high-value opportunities where AI can improve productivity, personalization, decision-making and customer engagement.
Partner with global and local teams to deploy AI-enabled solutions.
Drive AI adoption across commercial teams through governance, training and change management.
Build a culture where AI becomes embedded into daily ways of working, learning, decision-making and execution. This aligns with recent Iberia initiatives focused on embedding AI into core workflows, adoption programs and role-specific capability development.
Establish AI performance metrics and value realization frameworks.
5. Shape the Future of Commercial Learning & Development
Lead the CL&D strategy for Sales functions in Spain and Portugal.
Build a best-in-class commercial curriculum covering: Selling skills
Strategic account management
Omnichannel execution
Advanced analytics
AI fluency
Coaching excellence
Leadership development
Modernize learning approaches through digital learning, simulations, role-play solutions, AI-enabled training and personalized learning journeys.
Develop future capability models for field teams and managers.
6. Build High-Performing Teams
Lead, coach and develop a team of 4-6 multiprofile omnichannel, CRM and L&D proffesionals.
Establish a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration and accountability.
Develop succession plans and talent pipelines.
Drive engagement and cross-functional influence across the organization.
Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor's degree required.
MBA, Master's in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Digital Transformation, Data Science or similar strongly preferred.
Required Experience
Minimum
15+ years of progressive leadership experience.
Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical technology or highly regulated industries.
Significant leadership experience in: Omnichannel

Sales Force Effectiveness
Artificial Intelligence initiatives
Preferred
Experience leading multi-country organizations.
