Associate Project Manager-Consulting (Bangalore, Karnataka, IN)
About this opportunity
Department – Global Business Service Consulting
Location – Novo Nordisk GBS, Bangalore, India
Your impact begins here
As Associate Project Manager in GBS Consulting, you will help drive the strategic initiatives that shape how GBS supports Novo. You will support projects, lead some of your own, and turn ambiguous problems into clear recommendations that senior stakeholders can act on. Working across research, development, regulatory, commercial and corporate areas, you will help GBS move with clarity and pace, so colleagues can focus on work that creates progress for people living with serious chronic diseases.
What you’ll bring
• A master’s degree and 2–5 years of management consulting experience in a leading consulting firm.
• The ability to structure and organise ambiguous problems, tasks and information, and to act independently.
• Experience solving strategic problems with standard consulting frameworks and turning the analysis into clear recommendations.
• Comfort with strategic frameworks and tools such as balanced scorecards, issue trees and scenario planning.
• Excellent Office 365 skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Flexibility, and the ability to take on additional workload when projects need it.
• The ability to own and drive cross-functional initiatives with limited guidance from your manager.
Useful, but not essential:
Experience with change management, or with the evolution and transformation of global business services.
What you’ll do
You will work alongside GBS Consulting project managers on the initiatives that matter most to GBS management and the affiliates, from supporting workstreams to leading projects as the need arises.
• Partner with global stakeholders, GBS colleagues and functional leaders on consulting projects across areas such as research, drug development, regulatory, medical affairs, safety, quality, supply chain, commercial and marketing.
• Run workshops that solve the problem at hand and help stakeholders reach decisions.
• Plan and track projects from scoping and design through validation and implementation: monitor progress, raise risks in the right forums and keep project documentation, such as agendas, minutes, memos and case studies, in order.
• Design solutions with stakeholders and build the tools, templates and governance cadence that help the team reach project milestones.
• Support General Management with GBS management meetings, including presentations, agendas and ad hoc analyses.
• Stay current on industry practice in change management and GBS transformation, and bring it into your projects, including through external meeting preparation and visits to peer companies where relevant.
Who you’ll work with
You will join GBS Consulting, an internal management consulting team within Finance, Legal & Global Solutions. The team works on strategic initiatives for GBS management and the affiliates, and offers high visibility and direct exposure to senior GBS leadership.
Your closest partners will be the other GBS Consulting project managers. You will also work with global stakeholders, including International Operations and HQ colleagues, the wider GBS organisation and functional leaders across the value chain. Many projects cross functions, so you will help bring different perspectives together, create clarity on priorities and keep decisions moving.
What you can expect here
You will be trusted to take ownership, make your voice heard and work with limited guidance as you grow into the role. Working across functions gives you a broad view of how Novo operates, and the chance to build new skills on real projects alongside experienced colleagues. Clear expectations and a culture that rewards results mean your best work gets noticed.
