Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION/OBJECTIVE
The Associate Market Access & New Product Planning Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing strategic market access initiatives to maximize AbbVie’s product accessibility and pricing strategy.
This includes facilitating new product introductions for Taiwan and cross-functional collaboration, while placing the patient at the center of all efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will possess a strong execution and collaborative mindset.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with brand teams to develop cohesive access strategies that align with affiliate objectives,
ensuring successful execution for public reimbursement, private insurance, and self-pay.
Support development of product integrated access strategy and gain endorsement from affiliate, region and global colleagues.
Manage reimbursement submissions and access projects to maximize product launch and patient access.
Support evidence planning and generation (e.g. local economic data, budget impact analysis and value dossier localization) through cross-functional gap assessments
Support analysis and transformation of economic and clinical data into impactful messages to secure access and reimbursement from payers, regulators, providers and budget holders.
Analyze and communicate predicted payer and payer influencer decision drivers and unmet needs to the brand teams in order to ensure situation analysis is holistic.▪ Highlight the cross-functional impacts of anticipated changes in the payer environment to enhance the brand team’s foresight and planning.
Evaluate opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to engage in “win: win” partnerships with traditional and non-traditional stakeholders in order to positively influence policy landscape
Facilitate new product planning and new product launches
Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
3-5 years of relevant experience with proven track record of success in pharmaceutical industry within market access, commercial, or medical functions and/or within healthcare payer/provider or academic institution
Specific market access experience at Regional or HQ level is a plus
Ability to manage cross functional projects
Ability to analyze complex models and scientific data and draw out key messages
Ability to interpret scientific and/or pharmaco-economic data to assess its relevance to build into targeted value messages
Basic working knowledge of pharmaco-economic principles
Basic knowledge of payer mindset and motivation in respective local context
