General Summary:
The Health Systems / HCP Marketing Associate Director is responsible for the development and execution of key personal and non-personal promotion marketing tactics targeting Health Systems and hospitals. Specifically, this role will own the evolution of formulary decision maker messaging, core Health Systems promotional materials (value proposition and economic tools), and digital media strategy and execution.
Vertex recently launched JOURNAVX, an oral, non-opioid medication for the treatment of moderate-to-severe acute pain. Promotional education is critical to the success of JOURNAVX. This role will develop high impact personal and digital promotional content and work closely with colleagues on the health systems marketing team, US market access team, Health Economics and Outcomes Research team, HCP marketing team, and strategic accounts team. This role will be expected to develop and execute training on content to a large field team of ~300 members. This role reports to the Senior Director, Health Systems Marketing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop/adapt content tailored to Health Systems HCPs and Formulary Decision Makers (FDM)
Responsible for understanding and developing approved messaging for new Real World Evidence to evolve Health System Value Proposition and other FDM facing content
Collaborate closely with Strategic Account Leadership to support field efforts with appropriate marketing content
Lead HS media strategies and tactics; responsible for collaboration with media agency partner
Collaborate with cross-functional partners within strategic accounts, market access and HCP marketing to ensure strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and collaborative strategies & tactics where appropriate
Collaborate with the health systems agency of record
Leverage learnings from customers and field teams to improve material effectiveness
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience developing communications/tactics in U.S. or global marketing and managing agency efforts
Experience with institutional and IDN marketing and/or sales
Early career experience as a strong individual contributor in a professional work setting
Pharmaceutical drug launch experience preferred
Demonstrates strong understanding of health information technology, IDN systems, and institutional markets
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel 10% (~2 days a month)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or scientific degree
Typically requires 8 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range:
$162,800 - $244,200
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
