Our purpose-driven culture inspires us to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to prevail over serious diseases. We offer uniquely interesting and meaningful work, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it.

As a key player within the Media CoE, the Associate Director will manage complex media architecture, ensure seamless agency integrations, and maintain the highest standards of media tracking, compliance, and measurement. This role serves as key connector between brand marketers, external agencies, and the cross-functional matrix.

Responsibilities:

Reporting & Data Ecosystem: Manage operational business rules within data visualization tools (e.g., DOMO) in alignment with reporting and analytics teams. Ensure media agencies adhere to strict data delivery schemas, successfully managing loopback files, APIs, and Channel Level Data at a recurring cadence.

Project Management: Serve as an operational project manager on major media initiatives, ensuring project plans and timelines are executed efficiently.

Media Standards and Best Practices

Channel Standards Enforcement: Maintain, update, and rigorously enforce Channel Standards across all paid media channels (Display, SEM, SEO, Social, Video, POC, Print, TV, Audio, OOH, etc.) to ensure baseline quality and measurement capability.

Cross-Functional & Agency Operations: Manage Media Operating Models and Activation Maps to facilitate smooth intake and information transfer between BMS and agency partners. Support the operational onboarding of new media agencies, ensuring they meet BMS data and capability standards.

Privacy & Compliance Liaison: Partner with Privacy, Medical, Legal & Regulatory teams to ensure all media tracking protocols remain compliant. Act as the first line of defense in identifying operational compliance risks.

Education & Resource Management: Manage the enterprise Media SharePoint hubs, acting as the gatekeeper for access requests (BMS IDs, Claravine, Workfront). Support internal continuous education programs to ensure matrix partners understand and utilize best practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of campaign implementation systems, ad-tech, mar-tech, and media

planning/buying processes.

• Proven experience managing media taxonomy, data governance models, and complex reporting requirements

within a highly matrixed organization.

• Hands-on experience with tracking technologies, pixel implementation, and data visualization platforms (Adobe

Analytics, DOMO).

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple operational workflows simultaneously.

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and hold external agency

partners accountable to strict SLAs.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
