The Position
The Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) was established to drive analytics and technology-driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe.
Your Opportunity:
As an Analyst (MDM Data Steward), you will join the GATE organization in a pivotal role partnering with the US-based Master Data Management (MDM) team.
Your mission is to drive data stewardship, improve data quality, and support critical business decisions. You will act as a bridge between technical data operations and business strategy, ensuring our data assets are accurate, compliant, and actionable.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Management (MDM) Operations
Data Change Requests: Lead the ongoing processing of Data Change Requests (DCRs) related to Health Care Master Data.
Record Maintenance: Perform rigorous matching, merging, and maintenance of Master records (HCPs, HCOs, and Affiliations) to ensure a "single source of truth".
Data Stewardship & Quality Assurance
Stewardship: Act as the Data Steward for HCP (Health Care Professional), HCO (Health Care Organization) profile data, and Affiliations.
Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively investigate data discrepancies from internal and external sources.
Data Integrity: Ensure all newly onboarded datasets are accurate, complete, and strictly adhere to defined data standards.
Process Optimization & Governance
Governance Methodologies: Develop and document adaptable governance methodologies to enhance efficiency in MDM, data integration, taxonomy, and reporting.
Automation: Identify opportunities to automate or improve data management workflows.
Workflow Enhancement: Build data products to enhance workflow optimization.
Strategic Analysis
Analytical Support: Provide analytical support to develop insights and strategies that optimize data-related processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across business functions to translate data into informed decision-making.
Who You Are:
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Hands-on experience in Data Stewardship or Data Analytics operations.
Industry Focus: Prior experience in the Pharma, Life Sciences, or Biotech industry is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
Core Data Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL is required.
Scripting: Practical knowledge of programming languages such as Python or PySpark.
Domain Tools: Experience with MDM solutions (e.g., Reltio, Informatica MDM) and Pharma CRM solutions (e.g., Salesforce, OCE, Veeva CRM).
Cloud Platforms: Working experience in AWS services (S3, Athena, Glue, Sagemaker Studio, EC2, API Gateway, Bedrock) Or other cloud platforms like GCP, Azure is a strong plus.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and translate technical data issues for business audiences.
