As a Lead Analyst within the RSS Business Analytics team, you will join our Costa Rica hub to drive advanced analytics initiatives for global Roche affiliates. In this role, you will serve as an embedded strategic thought partner for Therapy Area (TA) leads, delivering end-to-end analytics in pharma commercial operations (sales analytics, claims, patient journeys, forecasting, ROI, and product launch assessments). You will translate complex data into compelling business narratives, guide senior stakeholders, and mentor junior analytics talent across the global network.
The Opportunity
Commercial Analytics Leadership: Drive end-to-end execution of complex pharma commercial initiatives, including brand performance, disease market overviews, patient adherence, targeting, payer mix, and marketing ROI.
Strategic Thought Partnership: Serve as an embedded analytics advisor to Therapy Area leads and insights managers, translating market dynamics into actionable business strategies and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Storytelling: Synthesize complex data analyses into persuasive business narratives and high-impact presentations for executive stakeholders.
Team Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior analysts and interns on analytics best practices, domain knowledge, and data structuring.
Cross-Border Collaboration: Partner with global cross-functional teams spanning Costa Rica, the US, and India, maintaining flexibility to work across overlapping time zones (e.g., IST/PST).
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related quantitative field.
5 to 8 years of analytics or consulting experience, with 4 to 6 years specifically dedicated to Pharma, Biotech, or Healthcare analytics projects.
Deep domain expertise in US Pharma Commercial Operations and secondary datasets (e.g., IQVIA Sales data, 867, LAAD Claims, Veeva, field interaction data).
Experience in therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology, or Immunology.
Advanced technical proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one programming language (Python, R, or SAS). Exposure to Salesforce or Veeva is a plus.
Strong problem-structuring, hypothesis-driven analytical skills, and proven capability to present to senior leadership with minimal supervision.
Must be currently based in Costa Rica or hold valid work authorization for San José.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
