Overview SUMMARY The BPS Lab/Senior Lab Technician supports the execution of small-scale culture studies and/or protein purification steps studies in the BPS lab to characterize or define process parameters required for transfer to commercial scale. The BPS Lab/Senior Laboratory Technician participates in the organization of the laboratory, the set-up of new equipment, the execution of experiments and the implementation of small-scale processes to produce monoclonal antibodies produced in mammalian cells. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the preparation and execution of cell culture studies (shake flasks, small bioreactors) and protein purification studies (chromatography Äkta, Krossflow, UFDF). Participate in the transfer of new analytical methods to BPS and in the execution of the analytical assays, to assess product quality. Autonomously write SOPs, study protocols, and other BPS documents. Contribute to experimental designs, analyse experimental data and propose new improvements for the BPS laboratory. Manage laboratory equipment under her/his responsibility (controls, maintenance, documentation, training). Prepare solutions and culture media. Contribute to the laboratory organization and purchase orders to suppliers. Participate in the commissioning or qualification of new BPS equipment (C&Q document review, execution follow-up). Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics. Work in compliance with legal requirements and company guidelines. Interact and collaborate with on-site partner departments (QC, MFG, QA) and with Process Sciences laboratories in the United States. REQUIREMENTS HES engineer or University Bachelor with experience in laboratory. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a biotechnology laboratory, including purification of recombinant proteins. Knowledge of analytics / analytical methods preferred. Comply with the safety rules of laboratory work. Able to work in a highly regulated and rapidly changing environment.
