Job Description

Senior Manager, Value Strategy & Marketing - UPLIZNA & Oncology

The Senior Manager, Value Strategy & Marketing will lead development and execution of U.S. payer value strategy for UPLIZNA and priority Oncology assets, including LUMAKRAS, IMDELLTRA, xaluritamig, and future oncology biosimilar assets. The role sits at the intersection of payer insight, evidence, reimbursement, and customer strategy and will translate complex clinical and economic information into differentiated strategies and resources that support coverage and patient access.

Given the portfolio, this role has a particular emphasis on U.S. medical-benefit payer dynamics and physician-administered therapies. The Senior Manager will partner closely with Brand, Coverage & Pricing, Market Access, Medical Value & Population Health (MVPH), HEOR, Center for Observational Research (CfOR), U.S. Medical, Patient Access, Insights, Trade, and Global Value & Access.

Key responsibilities also include:

Develop and execute payer value strategies for UPLIZNA and assigned Oncology assets, integrating brand strategy, payer needs, competitive dynamics, reimbursement considerations, and evolving coverage policy.

Build and maintain a deep understanding of medical policy, prior authorization, utilization management, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy and distribution, site-of-care, and reimbursement dynamics affecting physician-administered therapies.

Lead U.S. payer-relevant RWE workstreams with HEOR, CfOR, Medical, Brand, and Insights; contribute payer perspective to study design and objectives to defend coverage, improve quality of coverage, and support appropriate patient identification and treatment.

Translate clinical, pharmacoeconomic, real-world, and population-level evidence into differentiated payer value narratives and actionable implications for customer engagement.

Identify payer evidence gaps and emerging customer needs and bring clear recommendations into cross-functional evidence-generation and brand-planning discussions.

Partner with Market Access and MVPH colleagues to prepare for priority payer and health-system engagements, including customer-specific policy analysis, value messaging, objection handling, and strategic discussion support.

Develop and execute payer-facing resources, including payer core visual aids (CVAs), economic tools, RWE communications, health care economic information (HCEI) and pre-approval information exchange (PIE) resources where appropriate, payer FAQs, training guides, burden-of-disease resources, and customer-specific materials.

Lead materials through the Materials Approval and Compliance process and effectively train and support customer-facing teams on approved value resources.

Leverage approved AI tools to accelerate payer policy review, insight synthesis, evidence assessment, strategic development, content creation, and project execution while maintaining appropriate human judgment and quality control.

Identify and share new AI-enabled use cases that improve the efficiency or quality of Value Strategy & Marketing work, while adhering to company policies, data privacy, compliance, and review requirements.

Manage agency partners, project timelines, and assigned budgets and ensure work is prioritized against the highest-value payer and access opportunities.

5-10% travel may be required.

Direct experience working within or closely with a U.S. health plan, payer organization, medical-benefit manager, or payer-focused healthcare organization strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of U.S. medical-benefit reimbursement, medical policy, utilization management, and coverage decision making for physician-administered, infused, biologic, specialty, rare-disease, and/or oncology therapies.

Experience with buy-and-bill, site-of-care dynamics, reimbursement pathways, and payer management of high-cost specialty therapies.

Pharmaceutical/biotechnology market access, payer marketing, value strategy, or reimbursement experience valued but not required when accompanied by strong direct payer or medical-benefit expertise.

Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex clinical, economic, real-world, and payer information into differentiated value strategies and clear customer communications.

Experience interpreting payer coverage policies, claims or reimbursement data, utilization-management trends, or patient-access data to identify barriers and opportunities.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
