Quality Systems Intern
About this opportunity
Location: Waterford
Start date: January 2027
Duration: 6-8 months
Work Model: Hybrid – onsite requirements may vary depending on team activities
About the job
As a Quality Systems Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a Quality environment while supporting projects connected with third-party and supplier quality management.
You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues to understand how quality information is managed across different systems, help identify opportunities to improve data quality and processes, and build confidence working with both internal teams and external partners. From learning new digital systems to turning information into clear and useful data, this internship will give you practical exposure to how Quality teams operate within a global healthcare organisation. You don’t need to arrive knowing all our systems or processes – you’ll receive support and guidance from the team as you learn.
Ready to grow your skills while helping shape the future of healthcare? At Sanofi, you’ll be empowered to learn, ask questions, and bring your ideas to life – all while supported by inspiring mentors and collaborative teams.
Main responsibilities:
Support Quality improvement projects related to the management of third-party and supplier information.
Review information across different systems and data sources to help identify missing, incomplete or inconsistent data.
Help maintain and update quality information within internal systems, including QualiPSO.
Support the review, processing, approval and implementation of third-party change notifications.
Work with Excel and other digital tools to organise, consolidate and present information in a clear and structured way.
Connect with internal colleagues and, where required, external suppliers to gather missing information and support accurate record keeping.
Highlight potential gaps, delays or issues identified during your work and collaborate with the team to help resolve them.
About you
To excel in this role you will need to have:
Be a current university student who will return to university after completing the internship.
An interest in developing your knowledge and experience within Quality. Relevant areas of study may include Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Chemistry, Microbiology or another related scientific discipline.
Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with information and data.
Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word, and confidence learning new digital tools and systems such as QualiPSO.
The ability to organise your work, take ownership of tasks and work independently when needed.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the confidence to ask questions, share observations and raise potential issues.
A willingness to learn and work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
