Position Summary
The Medical Scientific Liaison will provide scientific and medical support to customers mainly for field medical activities and to sales and marketing teams in accordance with Alexion policies and processes to promote materials and activities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Regular KOL visits for recently launched products on the field virtually and F2F after the pandemic. (75 % of the time allocaton will be dedicated for scientific field activities such as KOL visits and Hospital Medical Education Meetings.
Organizing hospital medical education meetings for especially newly launched products according to frequency already defined on MAP
Provide medical support to sales team and deliver phase I medical trainings in case of need
Conduct or participate in training programs for Marketing and Sales Team
Provide scientific/medical information to external customers
Support the definition and constitution of KOL and OL Mapping for aHUS and PNH
Build, develop and maintain strong relationship with Key Opinion Leaders and Opinion Leaders
Support associate medical director regarding effective KOL engagement for all advice seeking activities, internal trainings and scientific standalone meetings in an operational manner.
Prepare and conduct medical presentations to external stakeholders
Support physicians on the field for developing abstracts, publications and educational materials and activities
Support communication of global clinical trials department for feasibility of the centers and convey the relevant and accurate information in case of need..
Handle all medical information requests complaint with Medical Information SOP.
Stick to internal and external legal and regulatory guidelines and ABAC policy.
Responsible for reporting all pharmacovigilance events, product quality complaints within 24 hours as of awareness according to the local SOPs.
Support development of non-promotional training and support materials
Medical affairs support for life cycle management
Working with medical and commercial colleagues to contribute to the global or regional strategic plans for responsible indication
To provide insights and experiences collected during filed activities and contribute to the constitution of MAP for the upcoming year.
Participate in the local scientific meetings and national congresses
Support associate medical director for the preparation of relevant product reimbursement dossier in case of need.
Essential Qualifications
Medical Degree
Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry (1 years +)
Background in hematology, nephrology is preferred.
Ability to make scientific presentations
Demonstrated ability to evaluate medical/scientific literature accurately and effectively.
Knowledge of local pharmaceutical regulations,code of conduct and ABAC rules
Solid background and experience in pharmaceutical quality system management (GxP)
Computer skills,specifically MS office programs -ppt,word and outlook
Good team member, effective cross-functional communication skills
Fluency in English both written and oral mandatory
Travel required (1-3 times a week)
