Position: Medical Science Liaison (regions: South-Central Poland)

The position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as the primary medical contact for External Experts, engaging them in scientific discussions and projects to maximize the potential of Boehringer Ingelheim medications. These activities align with the agreed strategy and compliance regulations, balancing customer-facing and back-office responsibilities.

Tasks & responsibilities

As Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be responsible for:

Building and maintaining medical/scientific expertise for the pipeline product in Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Therapeutic Area

Strategic planning and implementation of pre-launch medical activities

Providing strategic medical input for local new brand launch preparation.

Planning, executing and monitoring the effectiveness of local medical activities.

Acting as primary medical contact with external experts (EEs) (more than 70% of working time spent).

Identifying, interacting and engaging with EEs, clinicians, scientific societies and other data-driven stakeholders to understand and satisfy Boehringer Ingelheim and customer needs and driving awareness for Boehringer Ingelheim's products in the academic and clinical community.

Contributing with medical expertise to cross-functional activities.

Providing medical training to ensure sufficient product knowledge of Field Force (FF) and other departments.

Coordinating, executing and monitoring the effectiveness of local medical activities and programs such as non-interventional studies, non-trial activities, Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) or compassionate use programs.

About our future employee

You should have good command of the English language (business, specialized, and medical vocabulary) and previous experience in pharmaceutical industry (medical affairs) or clinical experience.

Additionally we are looking for:

Previous business background (sales/marketing) could be an asset.

Higher education – medical doctor, pharmacist, medical-related sciences, biological sciences, or related fields; a PhD in medical-related sciences, biological sciences, or related fields will be an additional advantage.

Professional experience gained in an innovative pharmaceutical company.

Knowledge of basic human anatomy and physiology.

Experience in a similar position will be an additional advantage.

Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Analytical and synthetic thinking skills.

Independence and responsibility.

Goal-oriented mindset with respect for internal and external rules.

Teaching skills.

Proactivity and persistence in seeking innovative solutions.
