Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned business development professional to lead innovation sourcing and licensing initiatives across global markets. This role will play a critical part in advancing the company’s shift toward innovative and differentiated assets, with a strong focus on oncology and specialty therapies. The individual will work closely with senior leadership and will be expected to independently drive opportunities from origination to deal closure, while actively shaping portfolio strategy and external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Opportunity Sourcing & Relationship Building
Independently source innovative licensing opportunities across global biotech and pharmaceutical companies, while building and owning relationships with key stakeholders including biotech partners, founders, and investment banks across major innovation hubs such as the US, Europe, and China.
2. End-to-End Asset Leadership & Due Diligence
Lead comprehensive evaluation of assets across clinical, scientific, and commercial dimensions, develop a clear investment thesis and strategic rationale for each opportunity, and own the end-to-end due diligence process by working closely with cross-functional teams including clinical, regulatory, CMC, IP, legal, and commercial to ensure rigorous and timely assessment, while actively challenging assumptions and driving data-backed decisions.
3. Deal Leadership & Execution
Drive deal structuring, valuation, and negotiations across licensing, co-development, and strategic partnership models, while ensuring seamless coordination across internal stakeholders to maintain momentum during diligence and negotiation phases, and securing alignment and approvals through direct engagement with senior leadership.
4. Strategic Contribution
Contribute to therapy area prioritization and overall portfolio strategy, proactively identify emerging trends and whitespace opportunities across innovation areas and support complex transactions including multi-asset and platform-level partnerships.
Educational Qualification: Advanced degree preferred (PhD / PharmD / MD / MBA), with strong ability to interpret clinical data and translate it into commercial value.
Work Experience: 10-12 years of experience in business development, licensing, consulting within pharma or biotech, with demonstrated exposure to innovation-focused asset evaluation, hands-on due diligence, and direct involvement in deal execution or negotiations.

- Ability to independently lead deals end-to-end, including due diligence and cross-functional coordination
- Strong strategic and commercial thinking
- Solid financial and valuation understanding
- High ownership with comfort operating in ambiguity
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
What Will Differentiate You: Experience with cross-border transactions (particularly US, Europe, and China), exposure to oncology or specialty portfolios, and a demonstrated track record of originating as well as executing licensing opportunities.
