Description Overview
The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of strategic national and regional retail customers, including drugstore chains, while driving growth opportunities across beauty, health, and mass market channels. The role is responsible for developing and accelerating the performance of key brands such as Compeed, Relec, Inibsa, Farmatint, and Paranix across multiple retail environments. It combines key account management, customer negotiation, and channel development to strengthen customer partnerships, expand market presence, and drive sustainable business growth.
Scope of the Role
1. Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the assigned accounts.
- Understand client needs and objectives, and proactively address any issues or concerns.
2. Account Growth and Retention:
- Develop account plans and strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding product/service offerings within key accounts.
- Monitor account performance metrics and take proactive steps to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
3. Strategic Planning and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer service, to align strategies and initiatives with client objectives.
- Provide input into the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and challenges.
4. Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms and conditions for both the client and the company.
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and modifications in a timely manner.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on account status, including sales performance, activity metrics, and client feedback.
- Conduct thorough analysis of account data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Experience Required
-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager within a FMCG, consumer healthcare, beauty, or retail environment (minimum 2-3 years).
- Strong track record of managing key retail accounts, negotiating commercial agreements, and delivering sustainable sales growth.
- Experience in category management, promotional planning, and customer business planning.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and maximize portfolio performance.
