Deputize and advocate governance: Jointly champion the value of global project reviews alongside team leadership, serving as the formal substitute for the Global Lead and driving governance excellence across the organization.

Advance framework maturity and scalability: Develop and simplify the global project review maturity model, integrating key risk indicators to empower project delivery teams and enhance execution predictability.

In-source capability with PDRI: Master and facilitate structured assessment methodologies (e.g., PDRI), leading internal capability build-up and transitioning knowledge from external partners to upskill in-house experts.

Drive digital intelligence and automation: Leverage modern digital tools and predictive data analytics to extract portfolio-wide trend insights, while automating review workflows and templates to streamline operations.

Coach and empower global teams: Train, mentor, and coach engineering and project teams globally to elevate review capabilities and foster a continuous improvement mindset.

Who You Are

Educational Foundation: You hold a Master’s degree (MSc or equivalent) in Mechanical, Process, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Extensive Capital Project & Governance Experience: You bring at least 15 years of hands-on experience across the entire lifecycle of major capital projects, with deep expertise in Stage Gate Governance models, project controls, and field-level execution challenges (Life Sciences background preferred).

Methodology Mastery: You possess proven expertise in applying and teaching structured assessment frameworks such as PDRI, with a strong track record of driving internal capability building and process maturity.

Matrix Leadership & Strategic Mindset: You are a trusted, courageous leader who excels at influencing without direct authority, challenging the status quo, and serving as an effective deputy for senior leadership.

Digital Drive & Mobility: You combine systematic analytical thinking with a passion for process automation and digital tools, are fluent in English (German is a strong plus), and are open to up to 20% international travel.

We look forward to your application!

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
