Director, Cross Channel Engagement Lead (CCEL)

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. You’re joining at a pivotal moment as Amgen transforms our end-to-end global commercial capabilities. This role is not only critical, it’s evolving. You’ll help shape how marketing tactics are planned, produced, and deployed across channels, working in close partnership with U.S. Brand teams and cross-functional partners.

As a key connector between brand strategy and execution, you’ll drive more consistent, efficient, and impactful commercial delivery, while contributing to implementation of new processes, tools, and ways of working.

You will work cross-functionally with brand teams, agencies, AIN Cross Channel Engagement (CCE) Operations, and commercial capability owners to translate brand priorities into coordinated cross-channel execution and adoption of GCCI capabilities. The role coordinates discovery, onboarding, training readiness, ownership and handoffs, and progress tracking across assigned brands or workstreams. The CCEL surfaces dependencies and risks, helps resolve gaps in ownership, and escalates decisions that affect readiness, execution, or scale.

Work closely with brand marketing teams, their vendors, and agencies to drive coordinated execution of customer capabilities in collaboration with GCCI Transformation teams, Media, Production, Channel Operations teams, and Business Analytics & Insights partners.

Coordinate with brand teams, agencies, AIN channel operations, and other GCCI enterprise owners to align readiness and workflow handoffs across brands or workstreams. Clarify ownership, track deliverables and dependencies, and surface gaps to the appropriate owners.

Lead weekly pod interactions across GCCI channel operations teams to uncover insights for optimization and expand capability utilization for brand benefit.

Educate teams and drive usage of new self-service tools and centralized capabilities, enabling brand teams to efficiently find, reuse, create, and deploy content as technology evolves.

Share channel-specific best practices and toolkits to enable brand team execution at scale.

Support the development and implementation of cross-channel pilots or test-and-learns related to new formats, journeys, and automation.

Maintain a concise view of onboarding progress, decisions, dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency or capability adoption. Share timely updates with brand stakeholders, AIN CCE Ops, and brand leadership as appropriate. Capture lessons that can inform future onboarding and scale.

Coordinate discovery with brand teams and agency partners to understand stakeholders, current workflows, access and training needs, planned work, open decisions, and risks. Translate findings into clear readiness actions and owners.

Monitor the latest industry content innovations and recommended practices.

Partner with decision science teams to deliver performance tracking and operational dashboards that assess execution quality, content utilization, and deployment efficiency.

Connect marketing needs to the teams operating relevant content and channel workflows and platforms. Coordinate requirements and handoffs.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
