The Vaccines Activation Manager (VAM) – Netherlands drives vaccine activation across both the private and public vaccination landscape. The role combines commercial execution in the private market with operational stakeholder engagement in the public health ecosystem to improve vaccine uptake, shape future vaccination opportunities, and position Sanofi as a trusted public health partner.
Working closely with a dedicated colleague responsible for strategic public market relationships, the VAM focuses on operational execution, stakeholder engagement, field intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration. The role contributes to commercial, medical, market access, and public affairs initiatives, always in alignment with Sanofi's values, strategy, and compliance standard

Main responsibilities:
Private Market Activation
Drive growth and activation of Sanofi's vaccine portfolio across private channels including travel vaccination, seasonal influenza.
Ensure marketing tools are updated with latest data & guidelines.
Build strong partnerships with private clinics, travel clinics, occupational health providers, pharmacies, and other key customers.
Execute territory plans to improve vaccine coverage, customer engagement, and portfolio performance.
Deliver scientific and product information through omnichannel engagement and identify market opportunities, trends, and customer needs.
Ensure excellent customer experience through effective issue resolution and collaboration with internal teams.
Operational Public Stakeholder Engagement
The VAM fulfils this dimension in close coordination with a team colleague responsible for higher-level public market relationships (e.g., RIVM, national advisory bodies, ministerial contacts). The VAM's focus within this collaborative framework is on operational-level stakeholder engagement.
Build and maintain a broad network of operational stakeholders across the Dutch vaccination ecosystem, including healthcare professionals, pharmacists, GGD representatives, vaccination coordinators, and other frontline actors.
Position Sanofi as a trusted public health partner through regular stakeholder engagement and evidence-based dialogue.
Gather and synthesize field insights on vaccination barriers, coverage gaps, stakeholder needs, and emerging opportunities.
Contribute operational insights to Medical, Market Access, Public Affairs, and Commercial teams to support national strategy and program implementation.
Represent Sanofi in relevant local and regional public health forums and initiatives.
Tender Management & Operational Excellence
Lead regional tender processes in the private market, including pre-tender preparation, bid development, stakeholder engagement.
Support successful implementation following tender awards by engaging operational stakeholders and monitoring program execution.
Identify and address field-level barriers to vaccine uptake and collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational challenges.
Maintain stakeholder engagement to support sustainable vaccine coverage and program success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
Partner closely with Medical, Market Access, Marketing, Public Affairs, Customer Service, and the public market team to ensure aligned execution.
Contribute to cross-functional projects, including medical education, real-world evidence generation, public affairs initiatives, and public health partnerships.
Support Sanofi's participation in key vaccination, prevention, and public health events to strengthen external visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Capture and share external insights to inform business decisions and strategic priorities.
Maintain accurate stakeholder engagement records and activity tracking through CRM tools.
About you
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
5-7 years in commercial operations/brand activation in pharma/vaccines
Field experience within the pharmaceutical space is required

Technical Skills
Proven ability to build long-term relationships with HCPs and HCOs
Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse market, clinical studies, health economics data, the business environment, and the competitive landscape in order to develop and implement appropriate strategies for targeted customers and achieve business performance goals
Vaccines market knowledge and seasonal campaign dynamics
Strong CRM experience (Veeva)
Languages : Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbal and written, is a strict requirement.

The salary range for this position is :€65 000,00 - €86 333 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
