The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Territory Manager- Pets, based in Johannesburg. This position will be responsible for executing the BIAH sales/marketing plan and tactics to ensure maximum sales and market penetration within BIAH guidelines, policies and directives with key targeted customers. This position will report to the Sales and Marketing Lead-Pets.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Maintain and utilize expert product knowledge and highly effective selling to influence targeted animal health care professionals (AHCP) to support the use of promoted products.
Execute brand strategies to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing messaging
Utilize CRM tool to create pre-call plans to meet animal health care professionals' (AHCP) needs by following defined CRM business rules
Utilize CRM tool and supporting analysis to plan activity, report and monitor samples, and maintain account and AHCP records
Foster AHCP network development and communication and builds relationships with AHCPs
Use appropriate Sales Training techniques to facilitate the AHCP decision making process.
Analyze territory information to optimize AHCP calls and create annual business plan for execution.
Monitor local market conditions for changes that impact business Creates opportunities that meet both territory and brand tactics.
Prioritize daily administrative responsibilities and Sales Training requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in sales
Previous animal health experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders
Accountability and agility
