You will lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent platforms, particularly agentic AI solutions, that enhance decision‑making, drive efficiency, and create measurable business impact.Working at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation, you will translate complex procurement challenges into scalable digital products aligned with Novartis’ strategic priorities and values. This role requires strong product leadership, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to ethical, secure, and responsible use of AI to deliver sustainable value across the enterprise.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional teams to design, build, and launch AI-powered solutions for procurement, including agentic AI systems and digital platforms.Define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Oversee the end-to-end development of MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) for agentic AI, from ideation to deployment and iteration.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate use cases, and ensure solutions address real business needs.Manage vendor relationships to review make vs buy products to oversee technology integration in the overall procurement process.Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards.Monitor and optimize platform health, AI model performance, and system resource usage.Must have sound knowledge of the system and solution architecture, to guide and challenge the implementation team wherever required.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and upskilling within the team.Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.Minimum requirements:Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, with 14+ years of experience in AI product management or related roles; procurement technology experience is a strong advantage.AI & Technical Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic AI frameworks, including orchestration, tools, and memory concepts, supported by proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.Enterprise Technology & Architecture: Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), scalable infrastructure, data engineering principles, model evaluation, prompt engineering, and enterprise integrations such as REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.Product Management Excellence: Proven track record in technology‑driven product management, with experience leading end‑to‑end product lifecycles, from rapid prototyping and MVP development to iterative launches and scale‑up.Business Translation & Stakeholder Leadership: Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and product features, with strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.Agile & Cross‑Functional Delivery: Experience working in agile environments, including sprint planning, prioritization, and leadership of cross‑functional teams to deliver complex solutions at scale.Strategic & Ethical Leadership: Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities, with a clear commitment to ethical AI practices, responsible innovation, and governance.
