The Position
The Roche UK Affiliate is looking for a visionary Squad Lead to join our Strategy Cluster. Since 2021, our Squad Leads have been at the heart of our "North Star" ambition, acting as the primary catalysts for portfolio prioritisation, disease area strategy and operational execution.
This particular role is Ophthalmology which remains a critical strategic priority for the UK business and represents one of our primary business drivers.
As a Squad Lead, you are the guardian of our strategic priorities within one of our priority disease areas. You will lead a cross-functional Squad, holding end-to-end accountability for the commercial success of our medicines in this disease area. You will be expected to provide inspirational leadership and champion your Squad community, balancing this with an enterprise mindset to ensure the Affiliate invests to maximise overall performance across the portfolio.
You will also act as a VACC leader at affiliate level in partnership with other Squad Leads, the UK leadership team and above affiliate environments including the Affiliate Forum shaping disease area strategies and execution at a system level
Key Responsibilities:
Set the Ambition: Set a high-reaching vision and strategy for the squad by harnessing insights from stakeholders across the enterprise.
Deliver the Ambition: Deliver patient uptake performance in line with ambition whilst embracing this through appropriate P+L guard rails.
VACC Leadership: Practice the Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach (VACC) leadership model to unite people around a common purpose and foster an environment of growth.
Strategic Prioritisation: Manage squad outcomes and resource requirements with an "enterprise mindset," ensuring alignment with both squad and broader portfolio priorities.
Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a preferred partner for clinical and non-clinical influencers, mobilising the network with speed to meet urgent stakeholder needs.
Talent Development: Act as a recruiter, coach, and retainer of talent, ensuring team members grow in line with their passions and organizational needs.
Compliance & Ethics: Serve as a guardian for high standards of safety and ethics, ensuring every decision puts the patient at the center.
