About this opportunity

Your impact begins here

As Novo Nordisk continues to strengthen its customer- and consumer-focused healthcare experience, secondary packaging plays an increasingly important role in how patients, customers, healthcare professionals, and production colleagues experience our products.

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex projects that shape the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of secondary packaging solutions across our global production network. Combining strong project leadership, a commercial mindset, and an outside-in perspective, you will help translate customer, consumer, and business needs into robust solutions that create value across the product lifecycle.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how Secondary Packaging works globally while balancing user experience, quality, compliance, technical feasibility, cost, and speed.

What you'll bring

You have an academic degree and a proven track record of delivering complex projects in a global environment. Most importantly, you bring a strong commercial mindset and a passion for understanding the needs of customers, consumers, patients, and other users.

We imagine that you have:

An academic degree within engineering, science, business, project management, or another relevant field.

A minimum of five years' experience leading global, cross-functional projects with end-to-end accountability.

Strong project management capabilities, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and execution.

Experience working across multiple functions, organisational levels, production sites, and external partners.

A strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer, business, and operational needs when making decisions.

Significant experience with consumerism, customer-centricity, user-centric design, consumer experience, or outside-in thinking.

Useful, but not essential:

Experience from pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, production, or another regulated industry.

Knowledge of secondary packaging processes, design control, validation, technology transfer, or lifecycle management.

What you'll do

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex secondary packaging projects from initiation through implementation and successful delivery.

You will:

Lead cross-functional secondary packaging projects across the global production network.

Establish project plans, governance structures, milestones, resource requirements, and decision-making frameworks.

Coordinate activities across packaging design, engineering, production, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.

Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and quality requirements.

Create clarity around priorities, responsibilities, decisions, and project progress to enable effective execution.

Identify opportunities to simplify ways of working and bring packaging solutions to customers faster without compromising quality, compliance, or patient safety.

Success in this role requires the ability to maintain a holistic perspective while navigating complexity and leading through influence. You will build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, challenge assumptions constructively, and create momentum even when the path forward is not fully defined.

Who you'll work with

You will join the Project Management team within Secondary Packaging, part of Device Delivery Innovation (DDI).

Secondary Packaging consists of approximately 40 colleagues across three teams covering packaging design, project management, and design control. Together, the department supports packaging for finished products throughout the product lifecycle, from development and implementation to continuous improvement and global production support.

You will work closely with colleagues across packaging design, engineering, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, production sites, affiliates, suppliers, and external partners worldwide. The team combines technical expertise, project leadership, and product responsibility to ensure that insights from users, production, and the market continuously help improve packaging solutions.

What you can expect here

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects with significant impact across Secondary Packaging and the global production network. You will work with highly skilled colleagues, influence decisions across organisational boundaries, and help shape packaging solutions around the needs of customers, consumers, patients, and other users.

You can expect a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, curiosity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, while providing opportunities to strengthen your project leadership and business understanding.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
