Job Description

We set and achieve bold ambitions in our fight against the world’s most devastating diseases, united in our commitment to confronting the largest public health challenges of our day and improving the lives of patients for generations to come.  As a Senior Manufacturing Technician at Gilead, you are critical to maintaining GMP compliance, safety, and operational continuity.

Schedule:

This role is a swing shift position that involves 12-hour shifts. This team works a day shift and overnight shift rotation. Ability to work this schedule is a requirement of the position.

Responsibilities:

Maintains a tidy and safe working area.

Works on manufacturing and packaging of Gilead products.

Works on routine assignments following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Master Batch Records and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Works in conjunction with other Manufacturing Technicians under the guidance of a Team Leader and the Manufacturing Manager. Performs specific unit tasks on reactors, centrifuges and driers.

Cleans (manually and CIP) and assembles equipment for production.

Cleans manufacturing areas, including walls, ceilings and floors.

Complies with all established SOPs in performance of job. Adheres consistently to cGMPs. Complies with all safety-related procedures and practices personally and in area.

Interacts with department members to ensure production proceeds as scheduled.

Receives well defined instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.

Follows written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records.

Requirements:

High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3+ years of relevant, industry experience OR

Associates (or equivalent) and 2+ years of relevant, industry experience OR

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0 years of experience required
