As Senior Business Unit Director, Hematology/Oncology Germany, you will shape and lead the long-term strategy for a business expected to become a major driver of Incyte’s future growth. You will build the organization, capabilities and external partnerships required to deliver multiple successful launches and establish Incyte as an increasingly influential force within the German oncology landscape. Your impact will extend well beyond the business unit. As a key member of the German Leadership Team and the International Business Unit Director community, you will influence affiliate, regional and global decisions, bringing the voice of Germany into the broader organization and helping define how Incyte leads in Oncology internationally. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone inspired by building, shaping and mobilizing others around a bold ambition. Your impact Shape the business and its future Define and continuously evolve the Hematology/Oncology strategy for Germany, aligned with affiliate, regional and global priorities. Translate scientific innovation and market insight into a compelling commercial vision and clear execution roadmap. Anticipate changes across the German healthcare environment and adapt strategies to create sustainable, long-term value. Take full accountability for the business unit’s growth, profitability, market-share ambitions and overall performance. Develop robust business plans, forecasts and investment strategies, making clear choices about where resources will have the greatest impact. Create a benchmark for launch excellence Lead the preparation and execution of multiple launches, establishing clear cross-functional governance and shared accountability. Build the organizational capabilities, operating rhythm and execution discipline required for sustained launch success. Identify opportunities and risks early, enabling the organization to respond with pace, focus and agility. Position Germany as a benchmark launch affiliate and actively share insights and best practices across the International organization. Unite the organization behind one ambition Mobilize Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, External Affairs, Finance, HR, Compliance and regional teams around an integrated strategy. Create strong alignment between global ambition, regional priorities and the realities of the German market. Foster an enterprise mindset in which decisions are guided by patient impact and the long-term success of Incyte. Contribute beyond your functional remit as an influential member of the German Leadership Team. Build influence across the oncology ecosystem Establish trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, scientific societies, patient organizations, payers, health authorities and other critical partners. Strengthen Incyte’s standing as a credible, science-led and forward-looking partner in Hematology and Oncology. Champion innovative engagement models grounded in a deep understanding of customers, patients and the evolving healthcare system. Represent Germany within international and global forums, influencing broader strategic priorities and decisions. Inspire people and build for the future Build, lead and develop a diverse, engaged and high-performing Hematology/Oncology organization. Set a clear direction and create the conditions for teams to make confident decisions, take ownership and perform at their best. Coach and develop current and future leaders, creating meaningful growth opportunities and a strong succession pipeline. Foster a culture of ambition, accountability, collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning. Lead organizational transformation with clarity, empathy and conviction. The leader we are looking for You are an accomplished pharmaceutical leader with the strategic range to shape a business and the operational discipline to deliver results. You inspire confidence, create alignment across complex organizations and bring people with you through periods of growth and transformation. You combine strong commercial judgment with scientific curiosity and a deep understanding of what it takes to build credibility in specialist markets. You are equally comfortable setting a long-term vision, making difficult investment choices, engaging senior external stakeholders and helping teams navigate the realities of execution. You will bring: Significant leadership experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally including Hematology and/or Oncology. A strong track record in senior national commercial roles, with accountability for strategy, performance and organizational leadership. Demonstrated success in leading complex launches and building launch-ready organizations. Broad commercial experience encompassing specialist sales, marketing and sales leadership. The ability to lead through influence across Medical Affairs, Market Access and other critical functions. A strong understanding of the German healthcare and pharmaceutical environment; market access experience would be highly valuable. Evidence of building high-performing teams and developing future leaders. An entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgment and the courage to challenge established thinking. Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the credibility to operate at affiliate, international and global levels. A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
