Your new role

As a Regional Medical Advisor based in Riyadh, you will provide medical and scientific support, education, and training across business functions to external customers, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders. You'll be part of the Medical Department, reporting directly to the Sr Manager, Metabolic Field Team

Your key accountabilities will include:

Build and update scientific and medical knowledge about the entire cardiometabolic portfolio of Novo Nordisk products, dedicating time to search for relevant information about new developments and competitors’ products.

Proactively develops a compelling, KOL-tailored Medical Engagement (simple, relevant, trustworthy) grounded in rigorous insights and contributes to shaping scientific agendas and measurable clinical practice improvements that optimize patient outcomes .

Establish and maintain peer‑to‑peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and emerging experts, developing and executing KOL engagement plans aligned with.

medical priorities ensuring they are aware and understand the scientific basis and clinical usefulness of our compounds within the cardiometabolic portfolio.

Facilitating the development of symposia, meetings, and education seminars for healthcare providers on subjects relevant to Novo Nordisk products and projects, while delivering presentations at local meetings and external conferences.

Identifying opportunities for relevant academic and professional collaboration in the interests of current and future business needs, developing project proposals in support of business cases for local funding and initiatives.

Contributing to medico-marketing strategy and providing support for local business plans to promote the achievement of targets and alignment of cross-functional business activities while ensuring compliance with country-specific regulatory requirements.

Ensure full compliance with Novo Nordisk Business Ethics, Local regulations, Medical Governance frameworks, Reporting Safety information as per NN SOPs.

Reply to unsolicited requests by the HCPs on NN products (Medical information request).

Your skills & qualifications

As a Regional Medical Advisor, you need to be action-oriented with a strong drive and focus on results, a team player who is customer-focused with good peer relationships, and an innovative thinker with strong project management skills.

You will bring:

Minimum 2 year of experience in the medical affairs department within the pharmaceutical industry in a multinational organization or a Bachelor's degree in Medicine.

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (required); Bachelor's degree in Medicine is a plus.

Experience in Diabetes & Obesity therapy area is advantageous.

Strong communication skills, professionalism, and dedication with great scientific dialogue capabilities.

Excellent command over both written and spoken English and Arabic.

Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, actively networking with local healthcare interests in line with current and future business needs.
