The Position
The Position
In Pharma Technical Operations (PT), we deliver life-saving medicines to patients worldwide. As our Principal Digital OCM Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our strategic digital and data initiatives - ranging from digital site transformations and operations-wide data foundations to network automation and agile mindsets - take firm root across our global operational teams.
As a Principal Digital OCM Lead, you will join an elite, internal advisory and delivery team within PT Digital and Operational Excellence (PTE). Acting as an internal Behavioral OCM leader, you will serve as a high-impact catalyst for digital evolution across Pharma Technical Operations (PT). You will bridge strategic intent and operational reality, designing human-centric change strategies that minimize operational disruption, safeguard quality compliance, and foster long-term behavioral change.
Core Responsibilities:
Transformational Leadership: Partner closely with the broader PTE leadership team to embed robust Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies for large-scale operations-wide transformations, post-merger integrations, digital shifts, and process restructurings.
Behavioral & Cultural Transformation: Apply modern change frameworks and behavioral insights (e.g., nudge management) to align workforce mindsets with strategic change, data-driven culture, psychological safety, and a mindset of continuous innovation.
Operational & Digital Change Execution: Design, drive, and scale change management frameworks for major PT digital initiatives (e.g., global data governance adoption, smart factory/Industry 4.0 rollouts, and digital shopfloor tools).
Stakeholder Alignment & Network Building: Act as a trusted advisor to site leaders, global process owners, shopfloor operators, and quality teams to build strong change networks and active sponsorship across the PT matrix.
Impact & Readiness Assessments: Conduct systematic change impact analyses, risk evaluations, and organizational readiness assessments across diverse global functions within PT. Leverage quantitative data and behavioral analytics to measure adoption velocity, identify adoption barriers, and iterate on change interventions.
Communication & Enablement: Establish tailored communication architectures and learning strategies that translate complex data and digital solutions into clear, engaging adoption journeys for end-users.
Methodology & Practice: Define, adopt, evolve, and implement standardized human-centric OCM methodologies, blueprints, and training assets across the global network, ensuring consistency in how digital change is navigated.
AI & Automation Enablement: Drive adoption strategies for AI-assisted tools, shopfloor automation, and operations-wide data models, helping teams transition from transactional execution to data-informed decision-making.
Who You Are
You are an architect of adoption, not just a communicator. You understand that digital transformation is 20% technology and 80% human behavior. You bring a pragmatic, empathetic approach to driving technology adoption across matrixed, multi-cultural teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Behavioral Science Expertise: Demonstrated experience applying behavioral science principles (e.g., behavioral economics, nudge theory, habit formation loops) in a professional or operational context.
Education: University degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 10+ years driving organizational change management, digital transformation, or business adoption - ideally within pharmaceutical operations, manufacturing, biotech, or healthcare IT. Proven track record of supporting large-scale rollouts affecting multi-site global operational networks (e.g., 1,000+ end-users across multiple geographies).
Industry & Regulatory Understanding: Solid grasp of operational dynamics in technical, regulated environments. Experience driving change within validated environments without compromising strict GxP quality standards or operational compliance.
Change Methodologies: Proven expertise in established change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter) combined with practical experience in Agile, Lean, or Design Thinking.
Leadership & Influence: Outstanding stakeholder management, empathy, and resilience, with a demonstrated ability to influence leaders and cross-functional teams without direct line authority.
Languages: Business-fluent English is required; Spanish is a strong asset given the Madrid location.
Behavioral Analytics & Digital Adoption: Experience utilizing digital adoption platforms (e.g., WalkMe, Pendo) or product analytics to track, measure, and optimize user interaction patterns within digital solutions.
Coaching & Change Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coach managers and local leadership teams in behavioral management techniques, empowering them to act as effective change agents and scale adoption impact.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
