Make your mark:
You will take a leading role in designing and developing innovative cell-based assay formats for characterization and quality control of Botulinum Neurotoxins.
A strong focus will lie on assays that, through targeted genetic modification of neuronal cells, represent the mechanism of action of neurotoxins.
You will work in cross-functional teams with colleagues from other groups adjacent to our Development Sciences organization, both at Abbvie Ludwigshafen and at other global AbbVie sites.
As a member of the Bioassay Science and Development team, you will be able to benefit from the team’s strong background in functional characterization of biologics.

You have at least three years of experience with the development of cell-based assays that reflect a molecule’s mode of action.
You are skilled in cell culture and fundamental molecular biology techniques, such as design of plasmids/proteins to fulfill desired purposes, methods for detecting proteins of interest (by e.g., flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy or binding assays), methods to measure protein/protein interactions, generation of stably transfected cells and reporter gene assays.
You have strong experience in analyzing and presenting data in a broader context and are eager to defend data during scientific debate in local and global teams.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
