As a Pilot Technician, you will help manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and excipients for clinical and non-clinical activities. Your practical work in the pilot plant will support reliable production while protecting quality, safety and data integrity. By following established processes and contributing to improvements, you will help the team meet project deadlines and maintain high operational standards.
What you’ll bring
You have a practical technical background and are comfortable performing structured production activities in a regulated environment. You work carefully, communicate clearly and take responsibility for the quality of your own work.
· A technical education at technician level.
· Relevant experience within chemical production, pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related technical area is preferred.
· The ability to follow established procedures and complete semi-routine tasks with moderate supervision.
· Good communication and collaboration skills.
· A proactive, flexible and solution-oriented approach.
· The ability to work responsibly with documentation, production data and quality requirements.
· Familiarity with regulated manufacturing standards is useful but not essential.
What you’ll do
· Perform general operations in a chemical production facility, supporting the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and excipients.
· Carry out chemical reaction operations, work-up and purification activities, as well as buffer preparation and the general handling of chemicals.
· Complete cleaning, environmental monitoring and good housekeeping activities to help maintain a safe and reliable working environment.
· Plan, perform and document tasks within your area of expertise, following current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements and relevant procedures.
· Operate computer systems, manage data carefully and help ensure data integrity throughout your work.
· Support the maintenance, control and calibration of equipment and systems, including relevant standard operating procedures.
· Contribute to continuous improvement, troubleshooting, colleague training and performance and planning board meetings.
Who you’ll work with
You will work within an API Manufacturing department and collaborate closely with colleagues in your immediate team. You will also interact with relevant internal stakeholders across Global Research, CMC Development and Product Supply.
In these relationships, you will explain facts, practices and procedures, share knowledge and contribute to troubleshooting and alignment. The role does not include direct or indirect people-management responsibilities, but you may train colleagues in relevant tasks and support the wider team through practical knowledge sharing.
What you can expect here
You can expect a practical role where your daily work directly supports manufacturing activities in the laboratory and pilot plant. You will have responsibility for the quality and integrity of your work while receiving general guidance on new assignments. The role gives you opportunities to build technical experience, contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvements within the department.
You will work within established Quality Management System, environmental, health and occupational safety standards. You will also contribute to a collaborative environment where colleagues share knowledge, solve operational challenges and work together to meet project timelines.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
