Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) acts as a scientific ambassador, enabling high-quality, peer-to-peer scientific exchange with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Medical Experts (MEs), within the field of Immunology.The role exists to strengthen Novartis’ scientific presence, support evidence-based decision making, and inform medical strategy through high-quality insight generation. MSLs provide deep therapeutic area and product understanding, translate emerging science into meaningful dialogue, and support internal teams with clinical data interpretation. MSL is field-based role and needs to operate primarily in the field, the MSL bridges scientific needs from clinical practice with internal strategy to improve patient outcomes and reinforce Novartis’ reputation for scientific excellence.

Key responsibilitiesExecute Medical Expert engagement plans aligned with Therapeutic Area strategic priorities and ensure appropriate identification, mapping, and involvement of MEs and key accounts where medical needs, scientific questions, or evidence gaps are identified.Conduct unbiased, evidence-based, peer-to-peer scientific exchange with HCPs and MEs, sharing and contextualizing up-to-date medical information, disease area knowledge, clinical data, and publications.Support ME/HCP education activities, including hospital staff meetings, regional scientific events, symposia, and internal or external educational initiatives.Systematically collect, synthesize, and communicate actionable external insights from clinical practice, scientific discussions, and competitive activities to inform local and regional medical strategy.Contribute scientific insights to country medical plans and disease area strategies while maintaining strong understanding of the therapeutic landscape, emerging data, and competitor environment.Support evidence generation and clinical research by identifying and qualifying potential study sites and facilitating communication between sites and internal teams to optimize study execution.Build and maintain strong partnerships with Medical Experts, scientific societies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to strengthen scientific leadership and collaboration in the Therapeutic Area.Act as a credible scientific resource for internal partners by providing clinical context, data interpretation, training, and cross-functional scientific support.Shape joint value creation initiatives, evidence-based collaborations, and multistakeholder partnerships that strengthen the medical ecosystem and Novartis’ scientific reputation.Ensure all engagements, materials, activities, CRM documentation, reporting, and activity tracking meet ERC, regulatory, medical governance, and company guidance requirements.RequirementsAdvanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, DVM, DMD, PhD in Life Sciences) or equivalent is mandatory;Proficient Hebrew and English, both written and spokenStrong communication & interpersonal skillsStrong planning, prioritization, and territory management capabilities, with proven ability to navigate complexityAgile, resilience, a growth mindsetAbility to partner effectively in a matrix environment, influence without authority, and build credible, collaborative relationships across internal and external stakeholders.Strong scientific and clinical data interpretation capabilities, with the ability to effectively present and communicate complex scientific evidence and emerging medical insights across diverse audiences.Ability to build credible, trusted relationships with healthcare professionalsAbout Novartis Israel: Novartis is a leading pharmaceutical company renowned for its innovation.
