DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a  Marketing Manager, Knee Reconstruction , located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, or Warsaw, IN to lead the U.S. downstream commercialization strategy for the Depuy Synthes Knee platform.

This Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, Knee Reconstruction Marketing, and serve as a critical execution leader responsible for independently owning and delivering key marketing workstreams across the DePuy Synthes primary knee implant portfolio. This individual will manage projects end-to-end, develop marketing programs with increasing strategic input, and may provide day-to-day guidance to associate-level team members.

This role sits at the inflection point between executional support and strategic ownership. The Marketing Manager is expected to operate with a high degree of independence -- taking a brief or strategic direction from senior leadership and translating it into fully developed plans, programs, and deliverables without heavy oversight. The role requires someone who can think critically about the "why" behind the work, not just the "what," and who is beginning to develop a point of view on commercial strategy informed by data, competitive dynamics, and surgeon insights.

In partnership with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Medical Affairs, Global Education, R&D, and Sales Operations, this individual will lead the execution of clinical messaging programs, campaign development, launch workstreams, surgeon education initiatives, and competitive response tactics that drive market share growth and deepen surgeon engagement with the ATTUNE platform.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Messaging & Program Development

Own the development of clinical marketing materials for the ATTUNE Knee System, including surgeon-facing collateral, evidence summaries, technique differentiation content, and value messaging aligned to the Solutions in Motion philosophy and Kinematic Restoration approach.

Lead the translation of clinical data, biomechanical evidence, and surgical technique differentiators into compelling, segment-specific messaging -- moving beyond content creation to strategic narrative development.

Manage the end-to-end content development process including agency briefing, creative direction, stakeholder input, and regulatory/legal/medical affairs review cycles.

Identify messaging gaps and proactively recommend new content or program concepts based on field feedback, competitive shifts, and market trends.

Campaign Ownership & Field Enablement

Own the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive surgeon awareness, trial, adoption, and advocacy for the ATTUNE platform across priority segments.

Develop and refine field enablement tools including selling guides, competitive battle cards, objection handlers, account targeting resources, and customer engagement playbooks.

Partner with Marketing Services and Sales to ensure campaigns and tools are relevant, actionable, and aligned to regional priorities and account-level opportunities.

Track campaign performance against defined KPIs, analyze results, and iterate on tactics to improve effectiveness over time.

Launch Execution & Readiness

Lead assigned workstreams within go-to-market launches for new implant configurations, instrument updates, technique evolutions, and platform enhancements.

Develop launch deliverables including field training materials, sales communications, customer-facing content, and post-launch tracking frameworks.

Coordinate cross-functional inputs and dependencies across Sales, Global Education, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations to ensure on-time readiness.

Own launch milestone tracking for assigned workstreams and escalate risks with recommended solutions.

Surgeon Education & Engagement

Lead the planning and execution of assigned surgeon education programs, including cadaver labs, product demonstrations, peer-to-peer events, and fellowship engagement initiatives.

Develop educational content that articulates the clinical rationale behind Kinematic Restoration and the biomechanical advantages of the ATTUNE platform for target surgeon audiences.

Support key opinion leader (KOL) engagements and surgeon advisory boards, including agenda development, discussion facilitation support, and insight capture and synthesis.

Manage assigned society meeting deliverables, including booth content, presentation materials, and on-site engagement tactics.

Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis

Conduct in-depth competitive analysis on primary knee implant competitors, including product positioning, clinical evidence claims, messaging strategies, and market share dynamics.

Develop competitive response recommendations and proactively identify opportunities to sharpen ATTUNE differentiation based on competitive vulnerabilities.

Lead assigned voice-of-customer research initiatives, synthesize findings, and present actionable insights to the senior marketing team.

Build and maintain market and performance dashboards; deliver regular business reviews with analysis that connects data to strategic implications.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Coordination

Serve as a primary marketing point of contact for assigned cross-functional workstreams, building productive relationships with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Medical Affairs, Global Education, R&D, and Supply Chain.

Provide downstream market perspective and surgeon feedback into upstream discussions on product development, technique design, and portfolio planning.

Collaborate with regional marketing partners on assigned initiatives to share best practices and align global messaging where appropriate.

Manage project budgets, vendor relationships, and timelines for assigned programs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Team Contribution & Associate Development

Provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and work direction to associate marketing managers supporting shared workstreams.

Help onboard and develop junior team members by sharing institutional knowledge, coaching on deliverable quality, and modeling cross-functional collaboration.

Contribute to team planning processes, offering perspective on priorities, resource needs, and process improvements based on hands-on execution experience.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

6+ years of progressive experience in marketing, product management, and/or commercial strategy.

Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver marketing programs end-to-end with minimal oversight.

Strong analytical skills with experience building performance dashboards, interpreting market data, and translating insights into recommendations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling clinical and commercial narratives.

Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing timelines.

Comfort operating in ambiguity and proactively identifying solutions rather than waiting for direction.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong presentation development skills.

Up to 40% domestic travel, including occasional overnights and weekends.

Preferred

Experience in medical devices, orthopedics, or a related MedTech segment.

Joint Reconstruction marketing or product management experience.

Experience with clinical evidence interpretation, biomechanical concepts, or outcomes-based messaging.

Familiarity with upstream and downstream marketing disciplines.

Experience supporting or leading product launches in a competitive medical device market.

Experience with surgeon education programs, KOL engagement, or society meeting activation.

Exposure to pricing, contracting, or health economic value proposition development.

Experience mentoring or providing work direction to junior team members.

Ability to work in clinical settings, including operating rooms and cadaver labs.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
