About this opportunity
Role Purpose
The Marketing and market access manager leads integrated brands, launch and market access plans for Lundbeck Hong Kong’s portfolio. The role drives brand growth, supports appropriate patient access and ensures strong execution across public and private healthcare channels in Hong Kong.
This is a hands-on commercial leadership role covering brand strategy, product launch, customer engagement, pricing, tender, reimbursement and access execution. The role works closely with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, Compliance, and regional/global teams to deliver business priorities in a compliant and locally relevant way.
This role is focused on product and portfolio-related activities. Public education, disease awareness, patient advocacy, PR, media relations and corporate communications are not primary responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Brand strategy and execution
Develop and implement brand plans, marketing strategies and tactical activities aligned with business priorities, global/regional guidance and local compliance requirements.
Drive brand performance by identifying growth opportunities, shaping clear positioning and ensuring effective execution.
Plan and deliver product-related marketing activities, including scientific meetings, congress activities, customer engagement programs, compliant sponsorships and digital initiatives.
Monitor market dynamics, customer insights, competitor activities and brand performance to support timely business decisions.
Manage marketing budgets and evaluate activity performance, KPIs and ROI.
Ensure all promotional materials, brand messages and customer engagement activities comply with local regulations, industry codes and Lundbeck policies.
Launch and portfolio management
Lead or support launch planning for new products in neuro-specialty and neuro-rare diseases, indications or formulations, including positioning, customer segmentation, key messages, access pathways, launch activities and performance tracking.
Support lifecycle management of existing brands and identify opportunities to maximize the full potential.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure launch readiness across marketing, medical, regulatory, pricing, access, supply and field execution.
Market access, pricing and tender management
Develop and execute market access strategies to secure appropriate patient access across Hong Kong’s public and private healthcare sectors, with a focus on access pathways rather than sales channels.
Lead HA formulary listing, drug committee processes, HA Cluster-level adoption, and public hospital tender management.
Manage pricing, contracting, reimbursement and funding opportunities, including government reimbursement, charity funding and disease-specific patient access programmes.
Build value propositions supported by HEOR evidence and engage policymakers, payers, hospitals and other key access stakeholders.
Prepare the affiliate for future launches in neurological rare diseases by shaping access pathways, pricing assumptions and stakeholder plans.
Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Lead and develop the Marketing and Market Access team to build a high-performing, collaborative and accountable team.
Set clear priorities, objectives and KPIs, and ensure strong execution against business goals.
Build team capability in brand planning, launch readiness, market access, stakeholder engagement and compliant execution.
Provide regular feedback, coaching and performance support to enable individual development.
Work closely with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, Compliance and regional/global teams to ensure aligned execution.
Provide brand, product and access-related training to the sales team to support effective field execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably with strong experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
Proven people management experience, including team leadership, coaching and talent development.
Solid experience in brand planning, product launch, customer engagement and marketing execution.
Experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, tender management or hospital listing is highly preferred.
Good understanding of the Hong Kong healthcare environment, including public and private sectors, hospital systems, payer dynamics and access pathways.
Experience in CNS, specialty care or innovative medicines would be an advantage.
Good command of digital marketing knowledge and skills.
MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification would be a plus.
