About this opportunity

Location: Barcelona - Spain (3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home)

The opportunity

You will lead global market research and insight generation for IgAN, turning customer, patient, market and competitor evidence into clear recommendations for strategy, launch planning and execution. You will be a trusted partner to Global, US and other countries teams and will connect insights across Commercial, Medical, R&D, Analytics and Forecasting.

In-person office attendance expected for a minimum of 3 days per week. Minimum 50% of the role will be working with US team on US market research projects.

What you will do

Partner with cross-functional team, and especially marketing, to shape and prioritise the IgAN insight plan around the most important business questions.

Design and lead qualitative and quantitative primary research, from methodology and vendor selection through synthesis and recommendation, integrating artificial intelligence to optimize cost, timelines and insights gathered.

Triangulate primary research with secondary data, market performance, competitive intelligence and disease-area evidence.

Translate findings into a simple story: what we learned, why it matters and what the team should do next.

Bring the voice of patients, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders into global brand and launch decisions.

Manage agencies, budgets and timelines, while ensuring research is compliant with company policies.

What you bring

Strong experience in healthcare market research, insights, strategy or analytics, gained in pharma, biotech, consulting or an insights agency.

Practical command of primary research and the ability to combine qualitative and quantitative evidence.

Strategic judgement, intellectual curiosity and the confidence to challenge constructively.

Excellent storytelling and communication skills, including with senior and cross-functional audiences.

A hands-on, adaptable working style and comfort operating in a fast-moving global matrix.

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Fluent written and spoken English; ability to travel internationally as business needs require.

A flexible profile

We are open to different career paths. You may come from industry, consulting or an agency, and you may have built your expertise through market research, commercial strategy, analytics or customer insights. Direct IgAN or rare disease experience is valuable, but it is not essential if you can learn the science quickly and turn ambiguity into actionable insight.

Preferred, not required

Experience in nephrology, rare disease, global launches or multiple geographies; advanced degree preferred.

In general, we are expecting 5+ years of experience in primary and secondary market research and analytics in healthcare, research /consulting firm, or pharmaceutical/biotech company

US market experience preferred as role will be at least 50% driving US projects.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
