Job Description

Market Access Trade engages channel stakeholders to provide access to products, services and resources that support an exceptional patient experience. The Program Manager supports the day-to-day contracting and operational execution of assigned Specialty Pharmacy and Data services programs. This hands-on role coordinates statements of work, amendments and renewals; maintains contract documentation; supports purchase order and invoice activities; and tracks delivery of contracted services.

The Program Manager works with Trade Account Executives, Strategy & Marketing partners and multiple cross-functional stakeholders to implement approved program requirements accurately and on time. The role requires a self-starter who manages assigned work independently within established processes, follows through on details and escalates issues requiring leadership, Legal, Compliance or financial approval. The focus is execution of established program priorities rather than ownership of portfolio strategy, funding decisions or team leadership.

Responsibilities

Draft and revise Fee-for-Service (FFS) Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments and renewals for assigned Specialty Pharmacy and Data Services programs using approved templates and requirements. Coordinate redlines and negotiations with Trade Stakeholders and Legal & Compliance partners; escalate nonstandard terms and scope or pricing decisions for review.

Coordinate Fair Market Value (FMV) and applicable Bona Fide Service Fee (BFSF) reviews, approvals, signature routing and implementation. Proactively gather inputs, follow up on outstanding items and maintain complete records in designated repositories.

Maintain contract trackers and renewal calendars, monitor expirations and approvals, and prioritize work against business needs. Proactively flag delays, dependencies and service-continuity risks.

Coordinate vendor onboarding and purchase order requests and changes with Procurement, Finance and support teams. Confirm required approvals and documentation are in place.

Track invoices, spending and purchase order balances against contracted services and approved funding. Reconcile invoices, investigate discrepancies and follow through with vendors and internal partners to resolve issues.

Prepare spending, utilization and timing inputs for budgets, forecasts and accruals. Flag funding gaps and purchase order depletion early to program and Finance leads; support approved changes.

Coordinate approved program launches and contract changes, confirming deliverables, timelines, reporting and handoffs. Monitor services and data submissions; promptly escalate delivery gaps.

Serve as the day-to-day contracting contact for assigned internal stakeholders. Provide proactive status updates, communicate risks and next steps, and follow up across Trade, Brand Marketing, Patient Services, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Compliance and data/technology teams.

Follow contracting policies and procedures, maintain audit-ready records and support compliance reviews. Seek guidance on policy changes and exceptions before acting.

Identify practical workflow, tracker and documentation improvements; support approved updates and communicate changes to affected partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry, with relevant experience supporting contracting, program operations, project management or related business processes.

Experience drafting or coordinating contracts, SOWs, amendments and approvals; ability to review documents carefully, maintain version control and manage follow-up through execution.

Working financial acumen and ability to track purchase orders, review invoices, reconcile discrepancies and prepare accurate budget and forecast inputs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including tracked changes, document comparison, spreadsheets and operational trackers; ability to learn contract management and purchasing systems.

Strong organizational, planning and project coordination skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple agreements, deadlines and competing priorities.

Self-starter mentality with accountability for assigned work, sound judgment about when to seek guidance, and consistent follow-through from request through completion.

Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with external partners and cross-functional colleagues to resolve routine issues and coordinate reviews.

Analytical problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity and adaptability to changing priorities and established processes.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
