What you will do
As a Market Access Manager, you will play a critical role in securing and maintaining optimal patient access to Amgen's therapies. You will work on local pricing, reimbursement, health technology assessment (HTA) activities throughout the product lifecycle, while supporting selected Corporate Affairs initiatives including stakeholder engagement, external communications, and disease awareness activities.
Working closely cross-functionally, as well as with external partners and healthcare stakeholders, you will help shape market access strategies, support successful product launches and lifecycle management, and contribute to an environment that enables patients to access innovative medicines.
Key Responsibilities
Execute local market access strategies to achieve and maintain optimal pricing, reimbursement, and patient access for Amgen's portfolio throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead the preparation, submission, and follow-up of pricing and reimbursement applications, ensuring compliance with local regulatory, reimbursement, and HTA requirements.
Support launch excellence through market access planning, submission readiness, and stakeholder engagement for new products and indications.
Drive reimbursement and pricing maintenance and implementation activities, including health economic reassessments, dossier renewals, pricing revisions, reimbursement-driven price updates, and operational execution of market access decisions.
Monitor and anticipate developments in the healthcare environment, identifying pricing, reimbursement, and market access risks and opportunities and translating them into recommendations for business and forecast planning.
Partner cross-functionally and with regional and global colleagues to to support the local implementation of broader market access, reimbursement, and value strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders to support patient access and reimbursement objectives.
Support selected Corporate Affairs initiatives, including the development of internal and external communication materials related to patient access, healthcare environment, innovation, disease awareness, and corporate reputation.
Coordinate local corporate digital communication channels, including the affiliate website and LinkedIn presence, ensuring content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with Amgen's corporate communication standards.
Support disease awareness campaigns, patient and stakeholder engagement activities, and corporate events in collaboration with relevant cross-functional teams.
Oversee external vendors and service providers supporting market access, reimbursement, evidence generation, and selected Corporate Affairs activities, including project planning, quality, budget, contracting, and delivery.
Manage assigned projects and operational initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery against agreed timelines and objectives.
What we expect of you
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Health Economics, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline, combined with relevant professional experience in Market Access, Pricing & Reimbursement, HEOR, healthcare consulting, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with pricing and reimbursement submissions, HTA processes, reimbursement maintenance activities, value dossiers, and/or health economic models.
Strong understanding of the local healthcare system, reimbursement environment, payer decision-making processes, and relevant healthcare legislation.
Experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, healthcare consultancy, payer organization, HTA agency, or another relevant healthcare environment.
Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliver against critical timelines in a complex environment.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear business recommendations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex market access and healthcare concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functions in a matrix organization.
Experience supporting corporate communications, external stakeholder engagement, digital communication channels, disease awareness, or patient advocacy initiatives within the healthcare sector would be an advantage.
Fluency in English and the local language.
