About this opportunity

US Market Access operates in a complex and dynamic policy environment that presents significant business risks and opportunities. The volume and pace of policy change – including federal rulemaking, state legislation, and 340B developments – have accelerated in the last several years, creating considerable complexity for understanding the myriad impacts to patients, customers, and our business.

The Market Access Policy Implementation & Analytics team is responsible for analyzing the impact of market access policy changes for the US BBU and implementing those policy changes into our US Market Access operations, increasing our ability to respond quickly and consistently to policy developments. The team also represents US Market Access and BBU internally to AZ teams working on external policy advocacy, and delivers actionable landscape analyses to inform advocacy priorities, forecasts, and business planning. The team has accountability for 340B program integrity, strengthening integrity and transparency by tightening contract pharmacy controls, advancing data-driven monitoring and payer scrubbing, and accomplishing policy solutions that reduce diversion, duplicate discounts, and compliance risk.

The Manager, Market Access Policy Implementation contributes across the team’s scope of responsibility, with a primary focus on policy implementation and external advocacy. The role partners closely with teams across US Market Access and beyond, including Corporate Affairs, Access Strategy, Finance, Global, Legal, Compliance, and other business units.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Market Access Policy Implementation & Analytics.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
