About this opportunity

Role Purpose:

We are building an integrated B2B business focused on becoming a preferred partner to global generic/specialty pharmaceutical customers across APIs, formulations, pre-formulation, contract manufacturing, and other strategic B2B opportunities in chosen markets.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for an individual who can operate comfortably between strategy and execution and influence senior stakeholders across commercial, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory, finance, sales & marketing and other functions.

Key Responsibilities Areas

B2B Opportunity & Portfolio Management:

Create and Manage an integrated strategic B2B opportunity pipeline view - leveraging global portfolio and region specific product opportunities across markets, business models and patent landscape

Build a proactive deal pipeline beyond ongoing RFQs both independently as well as working with front end teams

Prioritize opportunities using scalable strategic and commercial frameworks.

Drive cross-selling across APIs, formulations; preformulation, and CDMO offerings.

Lead end-to-end opportunity evaluation and execution.

Oversee commercial market assessments and portfolio analytics.

Identify and enable lifecycle management opportunities with partners through line extensions; margin improvement initiative to enable FTM launch with best cost on day of launch

Drive market and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities.

Strengthen portfolio competitiveness through targeted gap-filling initiatives.

Networking & Developing Strategic Alliances:

Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with existing and prospective partners.

Drive partner engagements through structured project plans and milestone-based execution.

Translate customer and market insights into specific BD actions.

Support deal structuring, due diligence, and agreement execution in line with BD governance.

Partner with R&D; regulatory; Manufacturing; IP and SCM teams to enable filings and successful product launches.

Manage strategic partner accounts and maximize value from products, dossiers, and collaborations.

Evaluate emerging technologies, therapeutic areas, and market opportunities for strategic investments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality partner deliverables.

Mergers and Acquisition:

Identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities including but not limited to organization; products; technology and manufacturing sites

Assess target fit, synergies, and strategic value.

Support investment decisions through strategic and financial evaluation to support mid-long term growth objectives

Build acquisition business cases and valuation models.

Education: B.Pharm / MSc / Chemical Engg. + MBA (preferred)

Experience: 8-12 yrs in B2B Pharma (API + Formulations)

Exposure: Global markets, key accounts, deal-making

Skills & attributes:

Technical Skills

Experience with an array of deal structures across therapeutic categories, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of various transaction formats.

Financial acumen with respect to the execution of multiple types of business transactions.

Solid project management expertise and experience.

Strong sales, business development (BD), strategy, and alliance management working experiences in global pharmaceutical or biotech companies.

Proven track record or accomplishment in building consensus within a complex, multi-cultural organization.

Experience in alliance management in the pharmaceutical industry.

Behavioural Skills

Demonstrate highly effective communication skills with the confidence and cultural sensitivity to collaborate seamlessly across a global enterprise.

Exhibit strong negotiation capabilities with proven experience in external transactions, reflecting proficiency in deal structuring, commercial negotiations, and value maximisation.
