The Position

PD Medical Affairs (PDMA) plays a pivotal role in advancing the future of healthcare by connecting scientific advances with medical practice needs and embedding medical practice realities into Roche strategies. Join the Product Development Medical Affairs (PDMA) Nucleus Team in the Services, Solutions, and Innovation space for a 12-month internship in Basel. The Services, Solutions & Innovation team within Roche’s Nucleus is driving digital transformation in Medical Affairs. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in driving organizational projects with new systems, ranging from optimizing data for smarter decisions and supporting communications to project management and cross-functional collaboration with higher visibility.

The Opportunity:

You contribute actively to digital transformation and the development of solutions that enable reliable reporting and data-driven decision-making.

Your role involves assisting in the planning, tracking, and thorough documentation of ongoing project progress.

You prepare engaging communications and high-quality materials to effectively connect with and inform stakeholders.

Cross-functional collaboration is a key part of your work as you seek to understand and support large-scale organizational initiatives.

You take full ownership of small-scale projects, driving them from the initial concept all the way to successful delivery.

By gathering stakeholder needs, you act as a bridge between teams and technical partners to drive the human-centered adoption of new digital tools and systems.

Who you are:

You are currently enrolled at a university or have graduated within 12 months prior to the start of the internship in the fields of Business Administration, Life Sciences, Data Sciences, or related fields.

You are open-minded, flexible, creative, and proactive, approaching tasks with a strong can-do attitude.

As a natural team player, you possess exceptional communication, assertiveness, and self-reflection skills.

Your strong organizational talent is complemented by solid project management capabilities and a highly analytical mindset.

Fluency in spoken and written English allows you to communicate confidently in an international environment.

Ideally, you bring some international work experience alongside a genuine interest in digital transformation or the pharmaceutical industry.

You feel completely comfortable using Google Apps Suite, leveraging AI tools, and working with modern project management methodologies.

Application Process:

Please upload your CV (in English), a motivation letter with your application, and a certificate of enrolment (if you are currently studying) or your degree certificate (if you have already completed your studies).

Non-EU/Non-EFTA citizens must attach a confirmation from the university to the application documents, stating that a mandatory internship is part of the education and be continuously enrolled in their university for the whole duration of this internship.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
