GSK have an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with strong business acumen to join our Respiratory Team (within our General Medicines business unit) as a Hospital Account Manager (HAM) .  You will be accountable for clinically differentiating our products, building advocacy in key accounts, and working within a high-performing cross-functional team to improve patient outcomes and drive commercial success.

In this role you will

Build relationships, networks, and advocacy levels for our products with key health care professionals (e.g. secondary care consultants, specialist nurses, pharmacists).

Understand pathways and decision-making processes that impact on prescribing across the Region.

Ensure optimal formulary inclusion for our products in all key accounts.

Work with our Regional cross-functional team to define and shape local health economy account plans. This will include delivering appropriate peer-to-peer endorsement and primary care events that are aligned to local account plans.

Clinically differentiate our products with secondary care customers.

Build, utilise and share insight from key accounts to support strategic planning at both a Regional and National level.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Proven experience in hospital account management, clinical pharmacy/nursing, or hospital sales within the UK healthcare setting.

Strong relationship-building skills with hospital stakeholders, including pharmacists and clinicians.

Good understanding of NHS structures and hospital decision-making pathways.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage clinical audiences.

Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a defined territory, including travel across Scotland.

Full UK driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

Clinical background as a pharmacist or nurse with hospital experience.

Knowledge of hospital procurement and formulary processes.

Familiarity with digital and remote engagement tools for healthcare professionals.

Experience in therapeutic areas relevant to hospital care.

ABPI certification preferred.

Experience in respiratory and/or vaccines preferred.

Working pattern and location

This role is field based across the United Kingdom. The role is hybrid with a mix of remote working and in-hospital or customer-facing activity. Regular travel across your assigned territory is required, and occasional national travel for training or team meetings may be expected.
