Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is searching for a Health Economics Market Access & Reimbursement (HEMAR) Manager to join our Milan-based Solid Oncology Market Access Team. The HEMAR Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing Market Access strategies in Italy, ensuring optimal and timely patient access for both in-market products and pipeline assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Health Economics & Market Access

Drive the development and execution of Market Access strategies tailored to the Italian healthcare system, ensuring alignment with brand objectives

Lead health economic evaluations (e.g. CEA, BIA) to support value demonstration and pricing positioning

Monitor Italian market access landscape (policies, competitors, payer dynamics) to proactively identify risks and opportunities

Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with Medical, Commercial, Regulatory and Regional/Global teams

Outcomes Research & Patient Pathways

Design and oversee real-world evidence (RWE) and outcomes research initiatives to support value demonstration in Italy

Translate evidence into actionable insights to inform payer discussions and access strategy

Establish collaborations with key Italian stakeholders (KOLs, research centres, institutions)

Pricing & Reimbursement

Lead pricing & reimbursement strategies in Italy, ensuring alignment with product value and local market context

Coordinate preparation and submission of Pricing & Reimbursement dossiers to AIFA, ensuring full compliance with national HTA requirements

Support and contribute to negotiation processes with AIFA, in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Work in collaboration with the Regional Access Team to facilitate access at regional and local level

Track and interpret evolution of Italian pricing & reimbursement frameworks, ensuring proactive adaptation of strategies

REQUIREMENTS

5–7 years of Market Access experience within the pharmaceutical industry

Previous experience in oncology, preferably solid tumors, is preferred

MSc degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Health Policy, or a related field

Postgraduate qualification in Health Economics / Market Access / Healthcare Management is a plus

Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical, Commercial, and other relevant internal stakeholders

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Fluency in Italian and advanced proficiency in English

Solid command of MS Office tools

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€52,000.00 - €86,365.00
