Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Director, Procurement Operations, located in Bogotá, Colombia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director, Procurement Operations, will ensure that the Regional Service Delivery Procurement Operations organization delivers results in support of Global Services, One Procurement, and DePuy Synthes business strategy and objectives. The role is accountable for reliable, compliant, and user-centered Source-to-Pay service delivery globally and works directly with business leaders, category teams, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and the broader Procurement function.

The Director leads regional managers and service teams, translates enterprise standards into regional execution, and owns performance, capacity, risk, controls, stakeholder experience, digital adoption, and continuous improvement. The role balances standardized global processes with valid country and business requirements in a regulated environment, where supply continuity, quality, traceability, privacy, cybersecurity, and patient impact must inform decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Director, Global Procurement Operations will play a critical leadership role, leading, mentoring, and developing regional managers and professionals and providing the guidance, training, and support required to enhance skills and performance.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function, including sourcing event management, negotiation of price and other contract terms, contract drafting and execution, and stakeholder management activities.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Requisition-to-Pay, including Accounts Payable, payments, Procurement Operations, purchase-order lifecycle management, and stakeholder and customer-experience management; deliver against agreed service levels while ensuring policy and legal compliance.

Own operational performance across the approved Source-to-Pay service portfolio, including intake and inquiry management, requisition and purchase-order support, buying channels, supplier onboarding and enablement, catalog support, procurement data, operational reporting, and contracting-process handoffs.

Establish regional governance, service levels, performance routines, dashboards, capacity plans, escalation paths, and corrective actions, ensuring delivery against defined service commitments.

Partner with Category Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, Compliance, Quality, Regulatory, Information Security, Privacy, Technology, Supply Chain, and business leadership to align operational services with company requirements and enterprise standards.

Drive continuous improvements in user and supplier experience, effectiveness, efficiency, control performance, data quality, channel adoption, and cost to serve.

Support the development and implementation of automation and artificial intelligence initiatives, and advance digital requirements by defining business needs, data quality expectations, integration points, workflow requirements, reporting needs, privacy and security controls, user testing, deployment readiness, and adoption measures.

Use operational data, external insights, and structured root-cause analysis to prioritize process simplification, automation, touchless processing, self-service, and recurring-issue elimination.

Ensure adherence to procurement policy, delegation of authority, segregation of duties, documented procedures, records requirements, and applicable legal, regulatory, and quality expectations; ensure delivery against agreed service levels and own timely remediation of control and audit findings.

Create value by building trusted relationships regionally and globally, proactively understanding stakeholder needs, constructively influencing expectations, and securing cross-functional alignment on service and transformation priorities, with accountability for value creation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Provide executive leadership for major incidents, business continuity risks, supplier-service failures, system disruptions, and material policy or control exceptions.

Integrate Leadership Imperatives into organization goals, talent decisions, stakeholder interactions, and day-to-day decision making.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
