Position Purpose
As Bayer's South Asia Radiology business enters the PET and Nuclear Imaging space, this role will help build the business in India by combining specialist PET/Nuclear Medicine expertise with market development and customer adoption. Based in Mumbai, the specialist will identify priority opportunities, establish clinical credibility and help customers evaluate and adopt automated radiopharmaceutical injection and PET workflow solutions. This is a market-building role for someone who can translate domain knowledge into customer education, qualified opportunities and sustained use of new technology, not solely a conventional sales position.
This specialist overlay role supports all commercial zones in India and works with sales, marketing, service and global Molecular Imaging teams. The specialist leads domain engagement, workflow discussions and market-development activities, partnering with zonal sales teams on opportunity qualification and conversion
Key Responsibilities
Market Entry & Opportunity Development
• Build a prioritized, qualified Molecular Imaging opportunity pipeline, documenting customer needs, workflow fit, decision-makers and agreed next steps with zonal sales teams.
• Identify new PET-CT and PET-MR projects.
• Develop relationships with Nuclear Medicine physicians, department heads and hospital leadership.
• Identify opportunities in greenfield PET projects and expansion programs.
• Support opportunity qualification and strategic account development.
• Develop ecosystem partnerships with radiopharmaceutical suppliers, cyclotron operators and related stakeholders.
Domain Leadership & Commercial Team Enablement
• Act as Bayer India's internal PET and Molecular Imaging expert.
• Provide technical and clinical support to sales, marketing and service teams.
• Support launch readiness by bringing customer and workflow insights into product positioning, demonstration planning and market-development initiatives.
• Deliver training and competency development programs for commercial teams.
• Maintain competitive intelligence and market insights.
Clinical Engagement & Opportunity Conversion
• Lead consultative customer discussions that connect PET workflow needs with the solution's clinical, operational and business value, supporting zonal sales teams in progressing opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations and workflow assessments.
• Deliver scientific presentations and workshops.
• Support tender preparation and technical evaluations.
• Engage with key opinion leaders and reference centers.
Customer Adoption & Post-Installation Support
• Support installation readiness and onboarding.
• Coordinate user training and workflow implementation.
• Monitor utilization and customer adoption, identify workflow or training barriers, and coordinate follow-up with sales and service teams.
• Develop reference sites and customer success stories.
• Identify expansion and cross-selling opportunities.
Marketing & Market Development
• Support congresses, workshops and scientific meetings.
• Contribute to market segmentation and value proposition development.
• Provide field intelligence and competitive feedback.
• Support educational programs and awareness campaigns.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
