Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Global Process & Digital Lead (GPDL) operates in a matrix organization and is responsible for leading global Payments and Experience (PEX) processes and related end-to-end process activities to improve process performance, service delivery, compliance, and business outcomes. This role partners across Procurement, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Regional Service Delivery Centers, and BPO providers to standardize, optimize, and digitize PEX processes, reduce manual touch, strengthen controls, and improve supplier and user experience across the payments and experience workstream.

The GPDL will lead a team of Global Process & Digital Managers to optimize existing metrics and continue to develop Key Process Indicators (KPIs), global process metrics and monitoring to fuel the continuous improvement mindset throughout the process and workforce executing them. The GPDL will in coordination with the other GPDLs carry out the governance model that identifies improvement opportunities, prioritizes resources on the highest value projects and facilitates oversight, process issue tracking, and process optimization for all processes. The GPDL will work across regions to ensure that improvements are identified and implemented globally within service delivery organizations, including outsourcing providers (BPOs).

Key Responsibilities:

Drive governance, maintenance, and improvement of the E2E Global Standard Process Design, including work standards design, cost models, process simulation and modeling, process assessments, business case development, and process version control.

Provide management oversight to key partnerships including technology providers, outsourcing partners and internal J&J functions that are critical to the Payments and Experience Process. Ensure adherence to SLA’s, performance metrics and represent the function in relevant councils.

Ensure PEX processes are executed in a compliant and controlled manner through continuous alignment with the J&J Internal Controls framework, coordination with Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Regional Service Delivery Centers, and proactive management of audit, payment, and operational risk.

Leverage supplier, employee, and internal customer insights to prioritize PEX services, process, talent, and technology improvements that enhance service delivery, reduce friction, and improve PEX experience globally.

Facilitate issue resolution and escalation.

Development of product strategies, ensuring alignment and value delivery in the context of strategic priorities.

Support development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.

Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.

Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.

Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.

Creates Value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.

Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required

MBA or further advanced degree is desirable.

 

Experience and Skills:

Required:

8-10 years of Procurement, Finance, or other relevant business experience

with minimum 5 years in a management role.

Prior experience of leading large teams in a complex matrixed structure and managing key stakeholders internally and externally in a service delivery environment

Strategic mindset. Disciplined data-oriented thinking to be able plan for long term.

Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Payments and Experience (PEX) and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.

Learning Agility & Openness to Change

Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.

Preferred:

Good understanding of overall PEX processes (vendor master, payments, and experience) and Requisition-to-settle operations at a high level is preferred.

Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: PEX/R2P or Accounts Payable, Service Delivery

Experience with large enterprise-level transformation programs

Shared Services Industry experience is preferred.

Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
